wow
I think that the fact that the U.S and Japan share a mutual-defense pact sorta makes this whole discussion moot anyway.

Marie, okay... um...
Japan buys their military hardware from us for the most part. So, if your little fantasy war were to take place... we simply don't give them any new things. And we win.
Grow up: Learn things. 😀
The main force is F-15 Eagles. The old fighters have been on the way out for some time now. They're planning on moving beyond the F-15s this year. They are considering several new fighters the Eurofighter, F-22, F-35, F/A-18E/F and F-15FX.
I don't think so,I think it's the other way around and if we don't give it to them they may just go to China
Well at least they have money to buy all that hardware being a small country and all. Bigger countries than that couldn't afford buying your weapons.
Which could theoretically work if China actually made stuff. Instead, they just buy from the Russians.
In the end, it's less of a matter of affordability and more a matter of who we want to sell to.

well there you go,either way they would get what they need to kill us.I'd be out of here.Or just make it themselves which they probably already do.

I don't have what it takes to be a teacher... I could explain why Russian hardware is vastly inferior to ours, but then I suspect you'd go on about some secret death lasers that Japanese are building. And I could tell you that they can't build things because of treaty with us, but you'll talk about how they're likely using replicators to bring giant robots into existance with a cheap special effect.
I... I just don't know anymore...

But of course, the big question is, in what numbers will the Japanese Self-Defense Forces be fielding these craft? Unless something big has changed, the terms of the surrender prevent them from raising a military with serious offensive capabilities.
Remember... the Japs attacked Pearl Harbor like cowards and then realized that they'd fucked up good when they saw Chester Nimitz hoist the middle finger at their island nation. Then we took a shit on their navy, embarrassed them in the air, and finally, instead of committing to an offensive that would result in millions of Allied and Japanese civilian deaths, we proved to them how good they'd fucked up.
They met with MacArthur and signed a treaty that made them USA 2. That's why Japanese folks wear suits, trade stocks, use cellular telephones, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera... instead of wearing kimonos, trading rice, and communicating with couriers.
Oh,I guarantee if we ever went to war with Japan they would win.If that ever happens I am getting the heck out of here!
We had one already.
This is how it ended:
... Russian hardware might be inferior, but bullets kill, from yours and theirs guns. And keep the sarcasm please... yours is too long.
We had one already.
This is how it ended:
that picture looks more like the time area 51 decided to mess around with some explosives and film it to show what happened.
How about this:
Japanese people cannot buy guns. If you go to Japan, you will see they make fake weapons that look real, and there is a culture built around these aerosol guns, but they can't fire real bullets.
If I was to drop two thousand dollars, I could be the owner of an AK-47 assault rifle and a Dragunov 7.62X54R with ammo. Might have to wait a few weeks, but I could legally own semi-automatic and high power weapons legally in the United States of America.
The freedom to bear arms in this country makes any foreign invasion of this nation completely and utterly implausible. So, if the inferior Japanese forces were to somehow reach our shores, then they would have to deal with an armed force from our military and civilian force as well.
We have more guns and more bullets. We have superior shelling capability and our aircraft are the best in the world. Our targeting systems could send a missile through your chimney and into your living room with little effort.
You can throw ninja stars all you want. One round from my AK-47 will drop you, and even if you move, I can spray.
One round from any of those two and I would like to see how long will it take before you go to jail... buying heavy weaponry should be forbidden.

I'll do you one better then:
If you were an invading Japanese force, I'd be heralded as a hero, and we'd burn your body. Buying heavy weaponry like that shouldn't be illegal and is not. And that's why owning high level assault weapons are pretty sweet; we Americans can and will own them, while other countries cannot.
