Joining the Navy

So I'm looking for some help here hopefully from someone who just recently was in the Navy, but I'm seriously this close to going in. I have just to do the MEPS physical and if I get past that and they don't jerk me around trying to pawn off some crappy position onto me then I'll more than likely take the oath. I'm a pretty smart guy, scored a 93 on the practice ASVAB and so I'm fairly confidant that I won't be put on the frontlines, but I have a question about stuff like this.

My friend knows a guy who's in the army and this guy told my friend that they don't allow porn of any kind in the army. So I'm wondering, obviously I know that during basic I probably won't even so much as have a hard on without being told to, but after that, and when I'm on my own in my own time after basic would I be able to purchase a new computer and surf these kinds of sites or will they somehow know I'm coming onto something like this and give me a hard time about it, possibly legal action? I suppose it almost wouldn't even be considered porn by most if the pics you check out are fully clothed foot tickling stuff, but I'm curious.

Alright well I'm in the Corps so we work pretty tight with the Navy considering were a branch of them. Porn is frowned on but not forbidden. Obviously no porn in basic, not gonna happen, or at least dont plan on it, everyone has their ways. After that yea you can get a computer and go on any sight you feel like, your not gonna be monitored or anything like that. Keep in mind depending on your job, you might not see a computer for months at a time. I mean your obviously not gonna go down the base library to log on here, but whatever you do on your own time is up to you bud. Its kind of like the dont ask dont tell in a way.

I'm AD Air Force:

While in basic you won't be seeing any porn. But as soon as basic is over you'll be shipped over to "technical training". There you'll incrementally recieve more freedoms. It's funny though, your idea or porn will change dramatically after not seeing an attractive woman for a few months. My "porn" right out of basic was a Maxim magazine! Lol. Over time though you'll get back to your normal kinky self. You can have your laptop shipped to you and if you can get signal can look up whatever you like. Usually bases have a private contractor that gives you the option of buying internet access from them.

What ever you do, do not look up "porn" sites on govt computers. They track it like hawks. Most likely any site you'd go to would be blocked anyway.

I would not worry too much. You will not need pornografia in the Navy. You will have too many other interesting things to do! After all, where else can you find pleasure, search the world for treasure, and learn science and technology? Where else can you begin to make your dreams all come true on the land or on the sea? And, naturalmente, where can you learn to fly, play in sports and skin dive, or study oceanography?

i just got out of the navy and what everone is sayin is true. your time is your own. as long as you use your personal computer you'll be fine.
