When you have a problem with your comp, and need to have it repaired professionally, do you have any issues about having your tickling, or any other fetish material spotted by a repairman? i myself, refuse to bring it to be repaired for this reason. i will just buy another comp, and sell my old one to someone i know online who has a tickling fetish. any thoughts?

I just accept that the spotty boys at PC World will browse my porn history. They don't know who I am, so, you know. Small issue. Hopefully they wank over so many pervy hard drives that mine just gets lost in the soup.

It does prevent me from taking my laptop to one of the small, independent shops. I try to support small businesses as far as possible, but I couldn't face the nice man in the brown cardigan in the shop down the road.

There is software out there to lock up folders and such so only those with a passwrod can access. This might be a good way to go if you are really worried. 🙂

Yeah, swapping out the hard drive works well enough. They have ones they can just stick in there. Of course, if it is a problem with the hard drive, then it's a bit more complicated. I usually just keep most anything I'd want to hold onto in case of a crash on backup disks anyway so I could just as well dispose of it all. But then it depends on the person too.

Some really aren't likely to go snooping through files because they just want to get it done. But then there are those like the Geek Squad guys that will immediately go cruising for porn. So it's up to you if you care.

That was my attitude when I needed a new hard drive in 2006. The guy in the local computer sales/repair shop saw lots of photos like the ones below and I didn't give a dam. 😀

This is especially an issue for me. my dad is in the computer biz and fixes mine whenever something is wrong with it.Right now I might have to get the hard drive wiped (which he would do of course) I can browse the net and do photoshop but other than that I'm computer-retarded.

I have had my computer fixed many times by a local repair shop and have not given the content on my hard drive a second thought. I could care less what someone sees on it, as long as all my information is still there in the end and the problem is resolved.

The few times i have had a comp crap out. New technology was SO MUCH BETTER then what i had on the busted one. That i just went ahead and bought a new one. Each time for LESS then i bought the previous crappier one.
