How do you feel when you hear this word? I mean when you're not horny or anything and tickling is the farthest thing from your mind and suddenly, out of nowhere, someone says it or you hear it on tv or the radio. What is your first reaction in most cases and do you soon find yourself listening intently or trying to further the subject?

Its funny when it happens because for some reason ill pause like just because somone said it, it means they know about me...lol. But ill be the guy in the crowd that gets quiet and just listens. Also there will be times where ill be reading somthing and think I see it like when you read the word "ticket" which is pretty much "tickle" just with and L and without a T.

Yeah, I hate when see the words "ticket" or "title" and at first glance you think it says tickle and start to get all excited and then be like "Aww, maaan!"

I blush whenever it's said, like it's a dirty word...and I blush, because I feel like people can tell that I like that word a LOT...it's been like that since I was quite young...but it's all good!!! Not much makes me blush...but the word tickle itself...in public...well...🙂

Same as Camel for me. 😛 It doesn't give me as much trouble as it used to. Though still if I'm watching a movie or tv show where I know it will be mentioned I try to start up a conversation with someone so it won't be noticed (not that anyone would care but me) and then I feel all conspicuous for doing that.
It's imporoved though as a while back I would have scurried out of the room. 😛

Yeah. I am the same way as camel and Nessonite. I get scared/nervous. I don't know why...I even have problems saying the word.

When telling some of my best friends, I make them say the word for me. Hah, guess it out of me and all that...it is very childish, but it's the only way I can feel safe saying it sometimes.

I also blush when hearing the word, though I have learned how to mask my piqued interest with a small scowl to simulate mild disdain 🙂

I was talking about this with a friend not too long ago. I don't know why, but I almost feel like I'm talking about something dirty when I say "tickle". I dunno, guess cause I'm so into it sexually that it seems as bad as sayin F*Ck lol.

Maybe we should type it as T****e from now on? 😛

Yeah i try to act all cool, but then its obvious I get all nervous. Cause my voice starts to crack.

talking to lady friends online, sometimes they'll just type TICKLE out of nowhere because they know if makes my stomach sink.

How many are crazy like me and actually looked up the word "tickle" in the dictionary?? I did this as a kid way back before internet was around!

.

I bet I'll get a little teased after saying this:
One of my biggest fears is that some girl I'm attracted to will start to speak about feet or tickling and asks me about it or that I should say either "feet, soles, toes, tickling, tickle" or any similar word ...

What am I afraid of? I'm afraid of that I'd start babbling at that point... I mean that I couldn't say any of those words with a normal tone of voice and that I'd get busted... or worse : My bishop would stand *symbolic language* 🙁

ALL THE FREAKING TIME...good to know I wasn't alone...😉

Ha ha...Bishop...I love it...

And not just dictionaries. ANY book with an index was fair game. I spent an awful lot of time in the "Reference" section of the bookstore.

I often looked it up in the thesaurus and in any encyclopedia I could get hold of 😱

I did that constantly, in every dictionary I could find, English or foreign, encyclopedias, you name it. One German dictionary actually gave phrases, too, including "to tickle someone on the soles of the feet" and "to tickle someone under the arm"! I think I had that one xeroxed for a while... before better things came along.

And for those of us who are typically on the receiving end of tickling from mischievous and/or sadistic friends and colleagues, just hearing the words seems to make us more sensitive and vulnerable. So if a woman talks about tickling me before she actually tickles me, whether she knows it or not she's already won half the battle...

yes, me too! looked up tickle in wikipedia, as well as dictionaries.

my earliest memory of something that gave me a very wierd thrill that i didnt understand, and now shows that I was born a tickle/foot freak, is that mcdonalds comercial in the late 70's or early 80's, cant remember when. it showed a woman laughing hysterically on a beach, then the camera panned down quickly and showed her bare feet poking out of the sand, flailing around, being tickled. Man that knocked me over as a kid. Maybe you all have seen that commercial.

And off course there is the little rascals episode when the kid is in bed, and his foot is sticking out the bottom of the bed, and cats and other things ( like a tarantula ) tickle his foot.

Ok, i know this was off topic, just blabbing away.

My Own Experiences With the 'T' Word . .

It's gotten to the point where I am concentrating on my work & I hear the 'T' word, I immediately stand up & try to locate the source of the conversation.
My heart starts to pound, my hearing becomes more acute & sometimes I WILL walk over to the source of the conversation.
Some people at my job know about my love for tickling & feet, so they don't pay me no mind.
I looked up the word in a dictionary recently, just to see what their descrtiption is. I've done that since I discovered the dictionary when I was a little kid.
I work for a major bank, & we have programs on our PCs at my job where a message is generated to another bank automatically. They call it TICKLERS.
The first time I heard that I almost had a heart attack.
I even told a few ladies at the office how much I LOVE that word.
They just laugh & say I am silly.
