I'm going to start by acknowledging the fact that I've done more than my fair share of raving about this game, but in doing so I'm looking for that not to immediately disqualify what I'm about to say...
Ever since I've played the very first iteration of The Tickle Porn RPG I've been absolutely in love with the misadventures of these two as they take something they love that is essentially a private thing and broadcast it. It's entirely likely that I'm seeing something that isn't there at all, but apart from the ACTUAL fetish content, the very first game, the first incarnation of this game and what this game finally became has helped me TREMENDOUSLY! As many masks as I wear to get through the day, I am an introvert, ESPECIALLY when it comes to any sort of matters involving intimacy. As silly as this may sound, the whole message about casually "being more open" and "being more spontaneous and fun" really helped in not feeling like such a weirdo or outcast myself because I had a fetish.
What can I tell ya, indoctrinated sexual repression's a bitch, and my wife isn't exactly as INTO this stuff as I am. But, sitting down with her and playing the games really gave her a bird's eye view of what this is all about. These games explained to her the "rules of the road" better than I could fumble around and put into words at the time, and now, it's no big thing with us. Hell, she helps me create casual situations now because she's such a little punk, haha.
At the end of the day, I view this no differently than purchasing a Senran Kagura game, dating sim or anything of the like. I completely and entirely understand anyone not wanting to out themselves, I truly do. I, myself, used to stream and have a following that reflects as such and...well, have no Senran Kagura games, hahaha. But! At the end of the day, I truly feel that the message OF THIS GAME is to remove the "negative, gross, taboo" stigma effect that our beloved fetish has and to teach folks to have an open mind. How can folks do that if we won't have one ourselves.
Thanks everybody.
