Knismolagniac symbol???

But thats the beautie about it. It don't have to be a meaning of a logo.
A "history" can be build around it.

Like the logo of me and my best friend. It don't mean anything special. We just taught it was kick ass looking. We have several releases and people got to know the logo. Now when people see the logo they think "Petrochemical" right away (thats the name of me and my friends music project).


Of course a logo can have symbols and meaning and it would be awesome if we managed to create something like that. I just don't think we should end up with a logo just have the letters saying "tickling" and have a feather over or something 😛 It has to be well made! 🙂

ANYWAY, I think the best way to go about it would be a long, epic, community wide contest. I'm off for some last minute studying, but I'm willing to draft a detailed proposal for how to arrange such a process later this afternoon, if you guys don't mind.

I agree about the contest in that its the easiest way, but its risky in the sense that many people would feel rubbish that theyre idea was passed and ...I dunno, it kinda gives one person the ability to provide a symbol for thousands of others, I find myself wondering how wise that is.

Altho I cant think of an easier way either 😛

Perhaps its better in a discussion, if we carried on with this and submitted ideas here, then everyone woudl see it, then add theyre ideas and hopefully we could all start working together on shaping this symbol to suit all of us?

The problem with that, is that's what has been tried before and it hasn't worked. For this to actually matter, it would need to be more formal. A discussion in a thread somewhere is very casual and ad-hoc. To do this properly it would need to be on a grander, more organized scale.

Steps can be taken to make sure it's as inclusive as possible... several rounds, anyone can submit designs, people can work with friends to submit designs... debates and discussions. If we take our time, do it right, on a large scale, I think it could work with minimal problems.

I dont disagree with you, but I feel see alot of potential negativity spawning from it.

Fingers crossed then I guess, im not always right when I worry 😛

Bah...going apeship on paint didn't work pretty good.
The idea I got was to symbolize a person being tied like an X in a circle and then to hands going for the sides.

Allmoust as simple as this: -X-

We cant base the symbol around someone being tied up because thats now what tickling is about for everyone, thats why this is so difficult.,....
 
ok to answer a few

what is it ... rectangle=bed X=spreadeagle outside the rect. is the ler looks like a crooked backward F.

and not one person picking it take them to a poll let the membership decide

Perhaps the X isnt saying theyre tied up,

whatif its just representing the body and its vulnerability to sensation.

The dots are to represent routes to that vulnerability,not necessarily feet or waist just because thats where the dots are, but the areas in general, from those 4 positions you could reach anywhere

so the X is the lee and the dots represent the ler in whatever form or preference?
 
Oh yeah. I may want to do that. It actually looks like a reverse face but it's not I promise. Basically it's a mouth at the top to symbolize laughter and two 'hands at the bottom tickling. It was just a real rough idea. I thought it may spark a better idea in someone. Maybe.

I like the concept, the tools we use and the reaction we cause
 
Thats the beauty part of a symbol you get to define it yourself. If there was one for Tickling then the symbol comes to life with a meaning for each mark
 
Being the first question you ask someone who is in to tickling is usually lee or ler why not have the symbol look like this

lee
or
ler

You know the three words on top of one another, only a person in to tickling knows that question

I'd rock it, but like others have said, seems nothing ever comes of ideas like these. A shame, really. Don't give up on it, though.
 
Hope some of the great artists in here show some interest in this...
They would manage to create something wicked! 🙂
