Wherever are my manners?

Let me tell you, the Dallas gathering was an absolute blast! I should've written about this sooner but if you can excuse my manners, I can gladly tell you about the great time I had.

First of all this was my very first gathering. I flew 1200 miles from OH at Oddjob's request and I wasn't disappointed. Oddjob is a very gracious and attentive host who really showed me a good time (in so many ways). I got to meet some really nice people who were well aware that it was my first time and treated me with special care.

Have you ever gone to a party thinking things were pretty much over but they were only getting started? That's what happened to me on Day 3. I'm going to spare the details for now, but those who were there know exactly what's up!

Special thanks to Oddjob0226 for being a gracious and attentive host. He was great! Special thanks to my new friend Alchemy (you were there, you know exactly what I mean). These were two gentlemen in every sense of the word.

I can schedule this every year-I'd come back to Texas in a New York minute!!

Yeah...that gathering was epic!! Just when you thought it was over...something else would happen. That was my first gathering as well. To everyone who attended...YOU ROCK!!! To Oddjob...thanks for all your hard work man! To Kis123....thanks for an unforgetable experience!

Yeah, I was the "something else" that eventually happened! Those in attendance know all about what the peepsofa smilie means to me! 🙂

"Unforgetable" doesn't even scratch the surface, if you know what I mean!

rats rats and double rats, i want so much to go to a gathering. tis a fun time i've heard from so many people. why o why arent there any closer to where i live? and i also hear its a safe way to fulfilll your ticklish dreams. so glad you all had fun, and kis please tell me everything, it would also be my first time, if ever i get to go.

Well, the gatherings we've held have been very fun and very safe. The only issues I've had were that there are alway a lot of late cancellations and no-shows, and there's almost always a bigger male-to-female ratio. However, for normal, consenting adults, this is more of a mild inconvenience than a party-spoiler. I hope you get to attend one day. I think for now my gathering hosting days are up, but maybe we'll meet at one, or perhaps at some point I'll get the N. TX Gatherings going again. Your posts have gotten me curious about many things!

For starters, where do you live? Look for local gatherings or somewhere in a reasonable driving distance. I know just how tough it can be, believe me. I'm going through a lot right now and the Dallas gathering was at the heart of it.

I was scared from the moment I made the travel plans. I was literally shaking at my keyboard until I pressed the "enter" key. I was scared going to the airport, getting on the plane, flying 1200 miles into an unknown place doing something I've never done before. The adrenaline rush and anxiousness was over the top!

Oddjob was a very gracious host who already knew how scared I was. I stuck to him like glue and he never once got annoyed with me. Everyone who was there was very nice to me and very understanding. There was just so much going on that I really couldn't get comfortable and I couldn't open up.

Sunday afternoon there were only three of us left. We spent the afternoon watching vids and just hanging out. I got really comfortable with these guys. It started to feel like an old coat, familiar and comfortable. Thoughts started to swirl in my head: what if? should I play? will they treat me right? will they be gentle or will they push me past my limits? what in the hell did I fly 1200 mile for anyway?

I saw an opportunity and my curiosity finally got the better of me-it eventually overrode my anxiety. After a few verbal exchanges I found myself the lee with two experienced ticklers. It was simultaneously heaven and hell-I laughed so loud that I didn't think it was me until I peered my head around the room and saw it could only be me. The men were truly gentlemen and didn't hurt me. I had a lot of fun, but the ler in me rose up and I refused to concede. It cost me a leg cramp that hurt all the way to my teeth. They then took great care of me-as late as it was, no one left until I was okay. I learned a lot about aftercare in those moments.

I have to admit I had the time of my life-I'm the ler and don't tolerate tickling very well. I had no intention of being the lee, but it was a moment in time where the timing was just perfect and the gentlemen were gentle-men.

Talk about stepping outside of yourself? I was 1200 miles away in a hotel room with two men I barely knew touching me in ways I really haven't been touched before. Is that crazy or what?? My family would have me committed if they ever knew what I did. But they will never know, will they?

I've left a lot of details out, but I'm sure you get the gist of things. I know your husband doesn't approve and I don't have an answer for that. But, if you get the chance, go to a gathering-it's an awesome experience. NEST is coming next April (I think) and I intend to go. I've been invited for the last two years and I let my anxiety get the best of me. I want to go and meet some of the people I've been friends with for over two years. I now know nothing's going to happen that I don't want to have happen. Everyone's on their best behavior-you'd have a lot of fun if you can make it.

I won't even comment on the roomates cancelling issue! Let it go Oddjob, just let it go......

BTW, bound is still NOT my way to go. I'm sure the minor scratches you might have received have healed by now. You know the drill, no pain, no gain........

Did I mention how my nails have grown since Labor Day??? I have somewhere to test them if you're willing..........

You tied yourself down, and there was NO cattle prod buddy! Considering what you and Alchemy did to me the next day, I should've packed the prod before I left Ohio!!

That's okay, I can't get him back, but you my dear have the revenge tickling of a lifetime coming to you somewhere in your future! I never forget!

Oh...I've already started working on The Tickle Glove Mark II.

Making this one out of metal. Instead of feathers...this one is going to sport 4 stiff brushes. It's definately turning out to be more creepy than the last one. Also, with the Mark II model, you'll get that classic Freddy "Chink" sound when you put the glove on. Yeah..I like theatrics. Hope to have it finished soon...heh heh heh
