But..exactly steph...HOW did you become so popular? were you like an adorable lee at a gathering and people jsut grew on you? Did you do vids back in the day? I mean seriously...how?

OK Lena~I don't usually give out my secrets but for you I'll make an exception. Me in a nutshell: I stumbled upon the site, read posts for a couple hours. I realized a lot of these people knew each other in real life, it felt like family to me. Except for my mom, I think little of my immediate family~I don't really have any real family so I tend to "adopt" my friends. (THAT family is humongous, but you already knew that!) I felt like joining here, so I did. Made a brief announcement about me and people seemed interested. I think they liked that whole "angel" personna (as you know, I'm an advocate for the rights of disabled patients for a living.) It's also part of my off-the-job life I well. I dedicate tons of hours in charity work (for animals, cancer research, homeless teens, my hospital's children's ward, etc.) Hard to dislike someone who lives a life that this, no? 😀

I also made my mark here by excitedly playing cupid~I love setting up people~I like to see my friends happy.

Then I took a few pics, and Ray approached me about being his first TMF model on his and Tracy's website. I guess people liked what they saw. Me, I never think about that stuff. If folks like it, cool, if not, that's cool too. I'm not everyone's taste.

Now, I initially took some heat, people saying I had to be a man, too good to be true, blah, blah, blah. Then moderator Dave (dvnc,) who used to live here in town, pointed me in direction of Dan, Jan (QB), Terrorizer and crew (most of the NEST hosts live in northern Cali!) I started attending munches and then play parties, I met with members~the naysayers realized I was for real. I became an active and hopefully positive, fun and helpful member of the community, the rest is history I guess.

I think in general people saw me as a funky sweetheart, both on and off the job. Some thought I was cute (whatever) but I also stood up for myself, if someone was being a jerk, I wasn't afraid to say so. (I get along well with almost anyone~if I don't like you, you have to be a real pile.) My real life is a lot like my online life and I love that. I feel very blessed to have so many friends here who think so highly and I hope I've established myself as a valuable contributer. Hope that helps clarify sweetpea!

PS~Oh and I never really got that whole "popularity" thing BTW for the record~another thing I don't really think about. I know other people perceive it differently. I was voted "the most" at all 3 high schools I attended but I always just saw myself as a friendly girl with a big smile and a ton of great friends.

I can be such a space at times snail. I am & look very Sicilian (mom's influence) 5'3, size 6 1/2 shoes. Body's ok~small buns, big chest. My hair is dark with blonde streaks. Almond shaped aqua eyes, long black lashes. Hollywood smile~I wore braces forever and bleach constantly. Think a less glam Sophia Loren~more friendly girl next door, less ice queen.
