Just a quick question about what language can and cant be used on here. Is there a "no holds barred" rule or not?

Any language you wish to use is just fine, however, since everyone here knows English, or at least a little English, and since most members only know English, any posts made in a language other than English will be unreadable by most Theater members. Some languages I have seen used: German, Spanish, and I believe Hebrew.

I hope that clears it up, although TickleTheater is the final word.

Cheers but I meant more like swear words. Are they allowed? As I swear a lot I dont wanna offend anyone by sayin somethin which aint allowed.

"We take the "be polite" rule very seriously! We do not tolerate any rudeness. Any member who is intentionally unpleasant or disruptive will receive one warning (at our discretion). And if the member offends again the member will be banned without warning. This goes for private messaging as well."

See that rule? Use any word in a rude way against another member, and no, it is not allowed. An occasional swear not meant derogatively is most likely okay, however, I would caution you against using them ALL THE TIME.

In short, use them sparingly. TT, if you see this, maybe a rules amendment is necessary. Or, maybe I have no clue. 😛

Hey His Divine Shadow ( i should type HDS but for that time 😀 ) !!!
There was also some Norvegian, Polish, Italian here too......and Japanese in some pix 😀 ) or Chinese ??

Fine, make fun of HDS and his memory issues. 😛 LOL, yes indeed, we have had all of those. It's great to have a diverse community.

Yes great indeed.......by the way i know you're divine and so on, you must speak all languages 😉 which ones then if not all ? 😀

LOL, I only use swear words when referring to (1) Microsoft, (2) computers in general, and (3) ISP's 😀 😀 😀

Well, HDS is fluent in English; knows enough Spanish to BARELY get by with tons of effort; some Japanese, mostly scattered phrases and words; a small amount of Korean; British English, which is indeed like a separate language, complete with its own words like wanker, tosser, and smegging; and a limited portion of the internet language known as l33t.

And, lol MV. 😛

I would really like to use Polish, but I know that not many people here will understand it.

I have a couple of good friends on a NON-tickling board who post in Polish and they always get a lot of responses ... as far as I can tell, Poland is well-represented on the Internet, so you might get a pleasant surprise 🙂

I am semi-conversant in Spanish, but not well versed in the tickling vocabulary, lol. (My native language is Cambodian-dialect Cham, but I have yet to meet a single speaker of it on the Internet.)

Best regards,

cool

PS
Hej Michał cześć kolego sympatyczny 😀 Posty w Polskim języku mogą być ciekawe wtedy zobaczymy kto rozumie naszą mowę !!!!
Hej ciao !!

Regards too all !!

Wow, we have a great variety of world's users. I personally meet several members that speak spanish (my native language). I follow thinking that a faq section on several languages would be very useful.

Que piensan el resto de mis buenos amigos latinos en el foro, ¿estan de acuerdo conmigo?, ¿no lo estan?

Wow, alf is that Polish you've written up there? What a cool looking language!!!
I don't speak anything other than good old American English. I can say something very rude in German and I know enough French to tell someone I don't speak it. What Spanish I know I learned as a teenager and it's only enough to take orders in Spanish at McDonalds. LOL

You think Polish looks cool. Thanks.

Wielkie pozdrowienia dla ness...

Hi Nessonite !!
Yes that is Polish indeed yes, cool looking and nice sounding !! Very fun quote about the French !!!
Glad u like Polish :super_hap hey u must go there !!
Serdeczne pozdrowienia as well Nessonite ( Sincere regards )

"Je ne parle pas Francois"
That's it other than a few random words I picked up in a futile attempt to teach myself the language. The good thing about latin based languages like French and Spanish is that many words are very simalar to English and I can sometimes pick up on the basic meaning of something.
I dont know if I have ever really heard someone speak Polish. It looks impossible to pronounce and must be a very hard language to learn! "sympatyczny"? I would have no idea how to say that!! But Polish Scrabble would be a high scoring game!

Only Polish I can think of aint a word its good auld Jerzy Dudek. A first class keeper. For another topic though.

It's great to see such a diverse community. I know a little French, Greek and Nihongo (Japanese), and enough Spanish to tell people that I do not speak the language.

sorry...because of me the discussion about languages became a discussion about Poland...please forgive me...^_^
