Large screen size test clip

TIB, some idea's for you if your planning on going ahead with this. As you have seen that many PC aren't up to handling such clips but I wouldn't let that put you off.

you can firstly set a high PC requirement for the clips and make the specs clearly shown before ppl can buy.

Secondly you could make available a free test clip (I would like a tickling one 😉 but it dosn't have to be), the test clip should be about 12 secs long for a good pc test and at least but perhaps even higher quality than the clips you download, this should ensure the pc can handle such clips.

and I am not after any freebies lol the clip dosn't have to be tickling etc but only for checking to see if they work on a pc or if you know of a site that has a clip that would suit such a test you could perhaps get their permisson to link to it for testing purposes and save on the bandwidth.

They both play fine on my computer, and yeah, the second clip is definitely clearer. Though I still like the first more 😀

Anyway, yeah, I think haqim's idea would work great. If you don't mind putting up a test clip for each size, so people can download and know whether their computer can run it, or see which is better, then there would be no excuse for downloading one that doesn't play, and having people wanting refunds.

Then you could add, no refunds available to those that download the wrong one or something, because their was enough warning and whatever.

the only problem would be the hosting of the free test clips...

im not sure if you understand the magnitude of visits our site gets.
any free clip can expect to be downloaded at least 10,000 times in one week.

as always, the server space and bandwidth is the problem with free clips.
but i've got my thinking cap on (it's different then my black mask, ha ha)

I do understand how much bandwidth a clip can eat up with that amount of visitors but you wouldn't need clips just a single one and not a full one at that.

The clip doesn’t need to be a demo of a downloadable clip and can be of anything (but I would avoid doing one of Drago going to the bathroom lol). Its the quality of the clip your testing. If you make it clear what the clip is, it might reduce the amount of people trying to download it to customers only.

If that isn't feasible then another possibility is to have a system where current customers can register, and after they have bought a preset amount of goods from you can they get access to the clip and be able to buy the better quality clips when they are ready.

I know the disadvantage to that is a person needs to buy stuff from you and register before being able to buy clips and it wont take past purchases into account. I know some of php, asp and it will take a lot to implement however their are advantage as well.

but if either of them isn't any good then I wish you luck in finding a solution 🙂
If I think of something will let you know. I do think that better quality clips is a good idea and would love to see them.

Anyway, there's gotta be something... let's see... oh! of course!! Yahoo gr...! No wait...nevermind, hehe. I was also thinking, like Haqim did, maybe a test clip of something non-tickling, like... maybe a... can you make a ball? like... one that moves in a video? lol if the big ball moves around great, the clip'll work for you!

That's pretty much the best thing I could think of. My brain got dead just now.

On another note... what's your thinking cap like... ? is it a yellow cap with a small helicopter propeller on top? 'cause that's cool.

Here are images from the videos to show the interlacing. This is probably the fuzziness people are referring to. Do you have a digital camcorder TIB? Or do you shoot on analogue and then capture it?

The WMV9 codec is available as a download for WMP7 if people don't want to upgrade their program itself.

the tickling producers are starting to revert back to the crappy days of the 70's and 80's when everything was fake

Video grainy

Looks fine to me but not perfect the first one is a little grainy it's as if the resolution is too strong for my video card and you see lines in the image. The second one is better. I have a 2.0 processor but only a 32 meg video card using XP.
