Lee's - why do you have to look?

I was noticing something a lot this weekend, and I saw it again today at Lee's house when we were filming (with a hot little brunette, stay tuned) and it's something I've seen before but never really put my finger on.

It seems like whenever someone is being tickled, they are compelled to look at what's being done to them, even if they have to twist their body or crane their neck to an uncomfortable degree.

So what is it that makes you do it? You must already know what's being done to you, so what's with the compulsion to lay your eyes on it?

That is an interesting question. I know for me I tend to close my eyes unless I make a conscious effort to keep them open, which isn't easy. Even then I tend to look upward and not at the action at all. Perhaps it is linked to the same phenomenon that tends to make someone more ticklish when blindfolded. There may be some sort of unconscious desire to see what is happening simply from a necessity for comfort, as though the simple action seeing can reduce the ticklishness by some small iota.

I'm interested in seeing what others might have for an answer, that is for sure.

There is something very intense and very powerful and dynamic about watching one's self being playfully and boldly tickled. I don't know. Just something about it. In my opinion-since I am such a very "visually ticklish" and a very "audibly ticklish" lee for me-something about being playfully yet boldly tickled whether that be platonically in just a friendly manner-casually or whether that be in public or privately one on one. Or whether that be a friend gang tickle-casual platonic or that be a erotic sense-privately one on one or more parties involved in gang tickling-just depends on one's personal tickle preferences, to each their own.

For me something very powerful about being tickled and just makes me want to watch the person tickling me-keep eye contact majority of the time-makes the tickles more intense I have to say for me. Because I am helpless and vulnerable and can't stop it; especially if I consent to being restrained and just have to take it and endure it-until it becomes unbearable and I just have to say the safe words. Something very powerful about watching someone tickle me and just watching your ler or switch tickle you. Can't explain or really describe it really.

Just to me it is powerful and a undescribable feeling, no feeling like it. yes partly also probably to help anticipate and try to stop or fend off some of the tickles to feel bit in control if not restrained, but for me just powerful and intense and an awesome feeling that is all I know. 🙂

That is the same way for me if I am not careful-when I get tickled and it becomes too powerful or too intense or too much for my senses-I tend to have a tendency to wish to close my eyes too-then have to force my eyes open and then once again watch the tickles be dished out on me- LOL like that is gonna help reduce the vulnerable helpless feeling of being tickled yeah right LOL that never works, just makes the powerful sensation of being tickled that much more intense and triplefold. i think its a natural reaction thats related to the senses, we all know that loosing a sense makes the others slightly stronger, and for many being blindfolded adds to the intensity as you cant see whats happening, maybe its part of your bodies natural defence to look at whats happening, where, when and how, so that you can try to decrease the sensation? or something like that anyway

Not being able to see what is going on makes the torture that much worse. However, if the 'ler is very creative, seeing what they are doing makes the torture that much worse. It's the old 'lee dichotomy - more torture is more delicious - we have to see which it will be.

I think you really have something here. Makes a lot of sense to me, anyhow. But then again, I always close my eyes or don't look, so I can only guess what is going on with the lookers.

if you cannot see when someone is about to tickle you then you dont know where they are going or what they are using.
from what ive seen its more intense when you cant see the tickling.

Probably a combination of "if I see it I can prepare myself for it" and what Mondy said. If I try hard enough maybe, my brain supposes, I can shoot laser beams out of my eyes. It's absurd but I don't have much of a better explanation, even as one who was really guilty of doing this. 😀

I think I have a slight thing for hands to begin with, and to me, looking makes the experience sexier. I love seeing my boyfriend's hands go to work, and when we're not together and I'm fantasizing about him tickling me, I have better memories to work off of. It's really just a mental thing for me.

Well there is the school of thought that if you are blindfolded and can't see when and where, then this makes you more ticklish (not neccesarily the case of course). However maybe those who are trying to look are trying to lessen the sensation by anticipating it.

For me, it depends on where my head is at. Sometimes, as others have mentioned, I watch to try to prepare...though it does little good. In fact, the anticipation if the ler takes advantage of me watching makes it worse. Hee! Other times, I can't bring myself to watch and close my eyes or look away...or look at the ler instead. It's all part of the wonderful insanity.

I guess looking would help a 'lee to anticipate what is coming next, giving them a split second to prepare for the onslaught.
This is why I like to use blindfolds.

Whenever possible, I look at my 'lers face. I love the interaction, even non-verbally, I love his evil smiles and I generally love to see how much he's enjoying himself as well as I am 🙂
