Terrible but not surprising. Scum bags know no morals and incidents like this unfortunately occur during tragic times. Even after 911, there were people trying to get financial benefits that had nothing to do with the tragedy.

I tend to have a generally low opinion of humanity as a whole, but some of these stories coming out of the tsunami disaster are just shockingly evil and sad.

We can take comfort in the opposite numbers of these people. There have been some acts of staggeringly benign humanity in the past week. People who hated other people's guts are now working with them, propping sandbags, carrying boxes of food and medicine and helping to clear wreckage. Yes, some have behaved like utter guttersnipes, but light has also shone through from the most unexpected sources too.

these little ones have been thru enough, losing their parents and everything dear to them. There is NO way that they should have to become victims of people's greed and perversion.

As we in the USA saw with our own tragedies, esp 9/11(the woman who claimed she had lost a family member to get compensation springs to mind as do the human scum who were trying to get their hands on the victim's valuables), disasters bring out both the worst and BEST in humanity. Let us pray that the good will prevail.
