It was the only working title I could think of. This took forever. Mostly because I couldn't figure out how to explain the skeletons. I think I've provided sufficent background with the flag, though. Call me crazy, but I like to try and include some visual cue explaining why things are happening in a drawing.

To be honest, I'm still not feeling awesome with colouring. It's just not something I've had any training in. I suppose I could go with all flat colour, but... then I wouldn't learn anything. I aspire to do better. To the other artists, if you have a piece of constructive criticism for me, I'd love to hear it. I've been on an artistic hiatus for far too long, and I'm looking for ways to improve.

Until next time. :stickout

Ohh, pirates are one of my favorite tickle related themes, particularly pirate females, if i may ask will you continue with this particular theme in the future?

i understand your feelings about coloring, but you don't do it bad, really, you only need practice more and this is the best advice you need...
you can take some photo or draw that you like the colour....and you will copy it, look how the artist solves the shines, how make the shadows and do the same...copiying from and photo could be more difficult but you will learn more, because a paint or a draw is a recreation of reality.
but dont despair to paint is a work than will take you years ...you will never behappy with your work (and this is good because it will you make better)

Thank you very much for your advice, hitan suul. I appreciate it. 🙂

player 0, I'm not sure. We'll have to see what the future will bring!

you are wellcome, but now is me who need an advice ...i'm new with digital art and there are things allready i dont domain, i dont know how you make so clean and good lines

I'll try and help you as much as I can, but I don't know very much!

With this picture I did all the work on my computer. I have a tablet that I use to draw with. So I did the rough sketch in Photoshop, then I inked it in Photoshop.

I use the Brush tool since the Pencil tool leaves those 'crumbly' edges on the lines. That's what makes the biggest difference, I think.

Does that help you?

great to see you posting again Blue Usako. Hope to see more in the future.
