Yes, yes, I know. Where have I been? Working my tail off. 😀 However, during that period of losing my tail, Jason and I introduced two new members to our family.
Meet Lysander (my black beauty) and Sakura Hime, Jason's princess (her name translates 'Princess Cherryblossom.' We just call her Sakura and she is a very stately kitten). These two siblings (they are actually siblings; they have been together since their birth on January 28th) didn't last 10 minutes on the "market." Jason and I waited very patiently while they were loaded into their display cages at the petstore. I saw Lysander and instantly fell in love. When I held him, he immediately calmed down and just looked at me. When Jason held a very nervous Sakura, she sat in his palm very stately and did the same. They had us at hello.
Now these little kittens have grown a little bit. Lysander is now getting long. While laying, he almost covers my entire lap. In those pictures, they would fit rather nicely in Jason's palm. And to explain before anyone asks: the first few days after they came home, Lysander and Sakura were so scared of their new surroundings that their comfort zone was their litter box, as they had one in their foster mother's home and their cage. After a week, they stopped sitting in it when we came to keep them company. Now they won't leave us the fuck alone. 🙂 Everytime I'm on the computer, Lysander absolutely insists, very vocally, to sit in my lap. He doesn't make me pet him, but he just watches what I'm doing, listens to my music and eventually naps while I do whatever it is that I do.
