Ok...the 90's and the 2000's aside...this guy was THE epitome of cool. I still listen too the "Bad", "Thriller" and "Off the wall" album and say to my self o00 self...this dude was Bad. This guy was definitely the definition of male mystique in the 80's and i'm not afraid to say that I am a fan. I know that Usher and Justin Timberlake...adn a host of other pop artist owe MJ for their start.
My only question is....am I the only fan on this forum.
I know at least a few of you have got to have a little moonwalk in em
GQguy

the guy went off the deep end somewhere and molested boys,,,although yes he makes great music,,,,if you can separate the two,,,

I liked his song "Smooth Criminal", and that will never change no matter what is true and what is not true. I personally don't care for the man however. I don't hate him, but I don't like him either. He sure has changed. He's not the same person he used to be. I think he's a psychologically confused person, he always has been.

I was never a Michael Jackson fan. Maybe I'm too young to have witnessed him in his heyday but when I was at the age where you're heavy into the music scene it was all about grungy, dirty rockers (think nirvana) and not the ultra-glam bling of Michael Jackson.
That said I always did enjoy his Black or White video when it was on Mtv.

I'm not either fan of him, but i like some old music done by him (80's), is a pain that him took that way.

I love his music, and as a young man of A generation filled with... well, I just won't give my opinion on current day music, but I think Michael Jackson makes GREAT music!

MJ huh....yeah, putting aside recent 'events' 🙄 he really had some good music, and I wont deny it. I wouldn't say I'm a fan but he definately was good back in the day.

I liked his "Off the Wall" album, but that was it. His personal life is so disturbing that now I change the channel any time his music is on the radio.

we dont know he molseters boys? i dont think he would, i think he had such a bad upbrining that he just wants to make lil boys feel safe, thats why he lets em in his bed, to keep em safe not to have sex with em : S

I love the "Off The Wall" and "Thriller" cds, and the song "Smooth Criminal"

I think he needs some extreme psychological help.

He's had an identity crisis since he was a child. He comes from a very disturbed family. His whole family needs help, not just him. But the damage is already done though, and with current events, theres no time for him to even begin a healing process. However, one could question whether he even thinks theres anything wrong with him. He's had plenty of time, and money in the past to get the mental help he needs. He seems content to vent through his obsession (no, thats not too strong a wrong) with children. He becomes child-like when he is with children because psychologically he is still a little boy, and being with children brings him back to simpler times with which he's trying to identify.

He can't find that peace and tranquility with adults, so he's trying to find it with wee little children in a last ditch effort to rediscover himself. The only thing is, he's far too obsessive and close to these children for his own good and his failure is met with continued pent up frustration, which the prosecution could argue manifested itself as leud conduct with minors and sexual abuse/rape. As far as his own children, he's simply made a mockery of them by even sharing them with the public, in any form.

How ironic that such a talented artist, who never got to really have a childhood, is now in dire straits for how he behaves with children. Yet anther example on why you don't push talented kids too much or too soon.....

His case is sad, indeed. Even if he didn't actually molest any of the boys (and that has yet to be proven), many eyewitnesses say that he did improper things, like showing naked pictures to kids or undressing in front of them.

Even if he is acquitted on the worst of the charges, I hope that he will seek serious mental health treatment and get his life straightened out before he ends up emotionally scarring a child by his bizarre actions.

Well, according to those charges against him, he already has emotionally scared children. That is a part of the grounds in the suits against him, afterall. Its all law folks, the families have to prove mental rought or anguish, and thats what they're taking Jackson to court for. Without the "you hurt my child" factor, their case is weakened and harder to take at face value.

The only problem is its also hard to tell whether children are lying. Its often said that children are the most pure of us all and the most truthful. But theres also that saying "theres nothing more cruel than the heart of a child". And while a child may lie, and may not be doing it to harm Jackson intentionally, they may lie because they think its fun or right to. And with the cajoling and coaching from their parents, its more likely to be this way.

Jackson's defense has it's hands full with just this part alone.

Jackson is indeed of a radically different mind than the rest of the population. While there IS the possibility of someone like that being "obsessed" with children and having severe Peter Pan syndrome and yet not sexually abusing them I'm not holding much hope for a verdict of innocent.
Didnt they find porn magazines with his and the child's fingerprints on them?

Well, I'm not totally up for starting A huge argument or anything, but isn't it possible that these kids just happened to find his stack of magazines? I mean, I remember finding my dad's pornography when i was but A wee lad... man was he upset. Anyway, I really have no opinion on this case, simply because it has so much going for it either way, its not really something I feel I could make up my mind about one way or another.

It's within the realm of possibility but, given the circumstances and the acusations, I find it unlikely.
It's one thing to find dad's stash hidden in a 3 bedroom house...quite another to let an unrelated child access your stash when you have a gigantoid mansion with a bazillion places to hide things. If people already think you're a psycho freak it's probably best not to leave your porn sitting around.

Yes, furthermore, Jackson was watching these kids like a hawk and was very close to them at all times. There are instances where even he will admit that.

Yes that's true...I forgot to mention that. Even if these kids did "accidentally" stumble upon a hidden porn stash, that is every adult's right to keep, they shouldn't be wandering around unsupervised to begin with. Either way it's not good for Jacko. With the mutitude of hired help he must have you'd thnk SOMEONE would lock the porn away while kiddies were about.

He's irresponsible, and the prosecution will use that against him as well. Remember the baby-dangling incident in Germany? Things like that add up, and are coming back as forms of evidence in these trials. Anything that can be used to make Jackson look unfit or unstable in the presense of children will be used, for sure.

Where there's smoke there is most likely fire...Sorry MJ fans but it's just not normal for a 46 year old man to host Pajama parties for children, especially after being accused 10 years earlier and paying out millions to quiet the whole mess! To go through something like that once and still not learn your lesson has me leaning towards GUILTY! I say Hang em High!

I have heard that the mother of the child has made these claims before against several other celebreties. Bloody vultures the lot of them.

I pretty much agree with you. However, as case by case goes, I don't necessarily think he's guilty of every count. I think he may have been guilty before, and definitely was as least 3 times, but he's not necessarily guilty this time.

But I don't think its going to matter. Time has caught up with him. I wonder if they offer "Jesus Juice" in prison, since he loves giving it to children so much.

Heres a joke I heard on Conan O' Brian:

What do you call an empty bed at Neverland Ranch?

I love the open forum that this site provides. I feel truly privilaged to engage in free spirited debate with people of similar interest. I humbly submit my oppinion on this topic for your consideration.

From an amateur it looks to me like this case is the defenses to loose. I think that there is no way that with competent council that a jury will convict given the circumstances of the case.

Take into account the bizarre nature of the prosecutor. For the last 10 years it has been an unwritten objective for him to nail MJ. not that that's right or wrong, but I think it will put a dimmer dramatically on any finds that the prosecution makes because in the eyes of the jurors this will be the culmination of a 10 year vendetta.

The mother-this woman has filed several fraudulent lawsuits, and will be shown in the court of law to have tried to pressure jay leno for money for her son’s recovery. Mr. Leno will testify that he broke off contact with this woman because he felt as though she had bad intentions for him and his money. The list goes on for impugning evidence to the mother’s credibility. This will also impugn the credibility of the children without making a direct assault on them and having no negative reverberation to the jurors (9 female I believe.) That means that any testimony or evidence found by any one within her sphere of influence will be dramatically tainted. There is also taped questioning of the mother and the family as to wither or not the defendant made any lewd or inappropriate motions or activities with any one of the accusers and the family emphatically denied any accusation that jacko did any thing wrong. Enter the over zealous prosecutor and then he and the grifter mom create a fairy tale that she can profit from and he can gain notoriety from. Then let's look at poor dillan. I really feel sorry for this kid. After the bashir interview aired he was treated by his friends as unclean to be polite. That sounds like a good enough motive to go along with his mother.

Let’s not forget that the prosecution has to prove that this man is guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. After they drag this woman through the mud and review the district attorneys record over the last 10 years with all the searches and inquiries I don't think that you could find 12 people on the face of the planet that wouldn't have a reasonable doubt.

But he was accused 10 years ago. Doesn’t that establish a pattern? What’s the basis of the defense, that Michael is just a child like person who trusts fully without qualification. He would never hurt anyone. There are tape recordings of the father of the first child and the boys step father discussing a scheme to grift Jackson then. The fact that he did not want to publicly embarrass the child fits right in line with the defenses characterization of jacko.

Remember, all the leaks of all the grizzly details in this case are grand jury testimony. In other words the prosecutor spouting his mouth off about his case. Nothing more. That would be like a pitcher pitching to an empty batters box. I hate to say it but doesn't this sound eerily like the mountain of evidence that was piled against our good friend Orenthol. Here we have the same mark firman with corrupted motives. And the mother of the child will play the part of Marsha Clark. It’s funny that so many people are outraged at that equital. When you have people taking bloodstains home and blood appearing on fences three days after an investigation it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that something is a wry. This case will not be decided on kiddy porn or child inebriation no, why? because when its all said and done I am fully confident that the jurors will not only not believe a word from the prosecution, but also be shocked and appalled at the lengths some people will go for money.

And don’t forget the history of a town called Salem. There was no such thing as lethal injection, and the penalty for witchcraft was death. How many innocent people were hung and drowned from the supposed INNOCENT lips of children?
