It was the marquee function that begins with marquee enclosed in brackets <> and ends with /marquee also enclosed in brackets <>.
You can specify direction=left, right, up, or down, and scrollamout=5 (or any other positive integer) to specify the speed of motion.

As Kurch discovered, it is dangerous to use if you make a typo on the /marquee part of it.
