Heya guys and gals, As i'm still reletively new here, i'd like to start my own thread. I'd like to know what everyone listens to. You can list bands, song, lyrics, etc. So, allow me to start.
I listen to rock metal/hard rock. Soem of my favorite bands include Chevelle, Taproot, Godsmack, Static-X, Tool, Evanescence, Three days grace. Best part of any lyrics i've read is by Tool, a song called The pot.
"Liar, Lawyer, Mirror show me, whats the diffrence?". Love it. Anyway, Your turn!

Hiya Joe. I'm a total dork, my favorite music is country. My favorite song of all time right now is probably something by Rascal Flatts---Sarabeth is such a cool song!😍

I also really love 90's pop. I heard Lucky by Britany again for the first time in years last week and was head-boppin along to it😀

~K

Epic and power metal.

Dragonforce, Kamelot, Rhapsody and all that.

Also stuff like After Forever, Nightwish, Leaves Eyes and Psyclon Nine. Loads of stuff actually.

whenever there is a post like this i see more rock fans than other types of music fans, so i ask whether there are fans of pop etc(drum and bass hardcore etc)
What would be cool if there are people out there in the forum who can direct me to amazing drum music, cause everyone talks about the blue man group and i think they are quite boring. suggestions anyone?

Hey....You stoled my thread...I'LL KILL YOU, WAAAHHHHH...

(Launches 50 toast bombs)

Whatever gets me going. Really. Right now it's a metal band called H.I.M., next it might be The Byrds. Or possibly Vivaldi. We'll see.

AHHH TOAST BOMBS *trys quickly to evade toasty death* I DIDNT MEANT TO STEAL YOUR THREAD EEEK!
Anyway, i forgot to add nightwish to my list of favorite bands, so huzzah. And rock is the most popular of music, so expect alot of people to put it down.

My heart belongs to metal. Iron Maiden, Dream Evil, H.I.M., Megadeth, Venom...

But really I can get behind anything that has a good rhythm to get into(excluding country or pop, which never have good sounds and lyrics that are too awful to listen to). Occassionally, I'll indulge myself with some 80s nostaliga because of all the fond memories I have of that decade. My iTunes library has 3.5 days of music, and it really ranged all over. Sountracks, techno, rock, new age... Like I said, I'll listen to almost anythnig that's good, even though metal is my true love.

*comes running into thread when I saw the word "Music"*

I listen to nearly everything! not too big on country tho..

Right now I'm into E.S. Posthumus. They've composed melodies for looooads of films and scores. Look em up on wiki. You might be surprised at what you might have heard by them.

The Rock. Within "The Rock", the whole field is quite open, though. I think HIM, Maiden, Dream Evil, 80s rock have all been mentioned. I second them. Michael Jackson is on my list of awesomeness.

Things not included:
Emo
"Hip-hop"
Recent country

Things emphatically not included
Evanescence
Rap after 1990
Puddle of Mudd
Linkin Park
And much, much more

I like many genres, but especially 60's-70's popular music (Chicago, The Byrds, The Fifth Dimension). I also like Latin Pop (Luis Miguel, Fey), Tejano, and Tropical. I listen to old-school rap once in a while (Ice Cube) and even enjoy Beethoven when I'm in the mood 🙂

Metal, mostly black metal (mostly 1997 -->, hate the "old style" sound distortions ), though some death is nice too...
Hate thrash/power/doom/speed/heavy subgenres and I tend to like the more melodical black/death bands like Dimmu Borgir...

I totally hate the classical metal genres, that don't sound like the newer metal at all, bands like Iron Maiden, Metallica and so on... I just hate them being so popular, yet I can never see anything good in them... Don't like rock or pop that much either... and totally hate hiphop/rap/blues/jazz...

I'm kinda narrow minded when it comes to music... Though I could name numerous good bands in my collection... 😉

Then again there are some non-metal songs that sometimes catch my ear... 🙂

You are a bit narrow minded in your tastes, but at least some of your ire is directed at the blues, hiphop, and the like. So you're alright. 😉

I don't really like or dislike any particular genre in general. Rap is something I don't like, but there are a few songs here and there that I do enjoy. Nothing new, though. I used to say I didn't like country, but again I have a few songs to boot. However, at the same time, I don't really listen to a lot of the heavier stuff simply because it tends to hurt my head. Seriously.

Most of my collection goes between video game music and 60's, 70's, 80's. Classical is always good as well. In the same vein as before, I don't like bands so much as I like songs. I'm not a big fan of System of a Down, for example, but the songs Boom! and Fuck the System invariably remind me of my best friend.

My group of favorite songs tend to change every week or two, but right now it's Goodbye Yellow Brick Road by Elton John, The Feywood and Clash on the Big Bridge from Final Fantasy XII, any of the battle themes from Shadow of the Colossus (very epic music, I might add), Piano Man by Billy Joel, and as the odd number in my list, Ievan Polkka by Loituma.

Music IS my lifeforce. I am always lisening to something. My taste is extremely broad. I love classical music of all knids, Beethoven,Bach and Tchaikovsky are my favorites of that genre. I also have an extensive range of Anime Soundtracks ( a genre of its own), Yuki Kajiura and Yoko Kanno together account for nearly one sixth of my music library. Some asian bands are good like L'arc-en-Ceil and The Sexmachineguns. Overall, the majority of me is built on the foundation of Hard Rock/ Metal stuff. METALLICA, Godsmack, Rob Zombie, Rammstein, Primal Fear, Avenged Sevenfold, Nightwish, Lacuna Coil, Running Wild, The Sword, Van Halen, Led Zepplin, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, The Trans-Siberian Orchestra, The Cult, Deep Purple, Alice Cooper, Queen, Iron Maiden, Pantera, Slayer, Gunsnroses, KISS, AC/DC, The Wallflowers, Linkin Park, Masterplan, Quiet Riot, Megadeth, Juno Reactor,
Vertical Horizon, Motley Crue, Queesryche, Nickelback, Drowning Pool, Disturbed, Iced Earth, Black Sabbath, Shinedown, Europe, Velvet Revolver, StaticX, A Perfect Circle, Andrew WK, OZZY, Fear Factory, Flaw, Mushroomhead, In Flames, Exodus, Sinergy, Sonata Arctica, Bloodsimple, Poison, THe Scorpions, Cinderella, Whitesnake, Motorhead, MercyfulFate, Anthrax, Soilwork, Mudvayne, Styx, Spiderbait, The blues brothers, The Killers, Bullet for my Valentine, 3 Days Grace, Judas Priest, ES Posthumus, Social Distortion, Children Of Bodom, Lunatica, Theatre of Tragedy, Amon Amarth, Agalloch, Dimmu Borgir, Hammerfall, Dragonforce, Sirenia, Sins of thy beloved, Saxon, Iron Savior, JUST TO NAME A FEW!!!!!!

There is only one country song that I like, I Like folk music, new stuff, I can even tolerate bagpipes!! Well, time for class, welcome to the forum:super_hap

Might as well say something. I listen to anything from orchastra, alternative rock, to paradoy songs, to video game songs...anything with a good beat. I think I prefer Video game music most of all cause it's more creative than what you hear on basic radio.

If you're older than fifteen and don't like Johnny Cash, there's something wrong with you😛

:note: Weeell, mah daddy left home when I was three, and she didn't leave much for my mom and me....:note:

I actually can't stand country, but Johnny Cash is a different story. Other than that, I like most music.

Boy Named Sue is quite possibly one of the most hilarious songs ever.

My mother enjoys singing it too whenever there's a mic nearby, which makes it even funnier.

I listen to rock and metal my two favoruite bands are
My chemical romance and dragonforce and the best lyrics from both bands are

my chemical romance- house of wovles:Tell me I'm an angel,
Take this to my grave.
Tell me I'm a bad man,
Kick me like a stray.

dragnoforce-once in a lifetime: In the minds of society we all live in harmony
Truth is that we all die in vain
You stand for what you believe
I kill for what I conceive
Is there then a title for this game?

Louis🙂

My iTunes library has 3.5 days of music, and it really ranged all over.

I tried getting batch properties on my mp3s to see if I could beat this, but it made Explorer freeze. I really, really hate my computer.

Love--is a burning thing... and it makes--a fiery ring! Bound--by wild desire... I fell into a ring of fire!

Lots of people have hate-ons for rap and country, but for me, no genre is completely without distinction. "Gangsta's Paradise" and "We Shook Hands", just to name one I have from each. Film score tracks constitute the largest single chunk of my collection; that genre being so varied, of course, as to be one only in name. My stash is so eclectic that I'll bet I could go through this thread and list the groups and composers NOT represented in less than a screen. Aaaaand GO!

Chevelle, Taproot, Godsmack, Static-X, Tool, Three Day's Grace, Tool, Rascal Flatts, Dragonforce, Kamelot, Rhapsody After Forever, Leaves Eyes, Psyclon Nine, Nirvana, Megadeth, Venom, Puddle of Mudd, The Fifth Dimension, Luis Miguel, Fey, Dimmu Borgir, System of a Down, Loituma, Yuki Kajiura, Yoko Kanno, The Sexmachineguns, Godsmack, Rob Zombie, Avenged Sevenfold, Lacuna Coil, Running Wild, The Sword, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, The Cult, Deep Purple, Slayer, AC/DC, Masterplan, Vertical Horizon, Motley Crue, Queesryche, Drowning Pool, Disturbed, Iced Earth, Shinedown, Velvet Revolver, A Perfect Circle, Andrew WK, Fear Factory, Flaw, Mushroomhead, In Flames, Exodus, Sinergy, Sonata Arctica, Bloodsimple, Poison, THe Scorpions, Whitesnake, Motorhead, MercyfulFate, Anthrax, Soilwork, Mudvayne, Spiderbait, Bullet for my Valentine, Judas Priest, Social Distortion, Children Of Bodom, Lunatica, Theatre of Tragedy, Amon Amarth, Agalloch, Hammerfall, Dragonforce, Sirenia, Sins of thy beloved, Saxon, Iron Savior, My Chemical Romance...

That's a bit longer than I was hoping. Hmm. Maybe I'm a square.

I hear all kind of music, but i feel especially attracted for 50's, 60's & 70's (too many groups, singers and songs to list them).

Well, this was a bigger reaction than i thought. I feel all warm and cuddly *chuckle*. Anyway, well, i am not much of a country person, but there are a few older country songs i like. And Music is very important to me, i really get into my music.
-Joe
