Music!

I, Garimto, enjoy the punx and such the various leaf branches.

I tried getting batch properties on my mp3s to see if I could beat this, but it made Explorer freeze. I really, really hate my computer.

Love--is a burning thing... and it makes--a fiery ring! Bound--by wild desire... I fell into a ring of fire!

Lots of people have hate-ons for rap and country, but for me, no genre is completely without distinction. "Gangsta's Paradise" and "We Shook Hands", just to name one I have from each. Film score tracks constitute the largest single chunk of my collection; that genre being so varied, of course, as to be one only in name. My stash is so eclectic that I'll bet I could go through this thread and list the groups and composers NOT represented in less than a screen. Aaaaand GO!

Chevelle, Taproot, Godsmack, Static-X, Tool, Three Day's Grace, Tool, Rascal Flatts, Dragonforce, Kamelot, Rhapsody After Forever, Leaves Eyes, Psyclon Nine, Nirvana, Megadeth, Venom, Puddle of Mudd, The Fifth Dimension, Luis Miguel, Fey, Dimmu Borgir, System of a Down, Loituma, Yuki Kajiura, Yoko Kanno, The Sexmachineguns, Godsmack, Rob Zombie, Avenged Sevenfold, Lacuna Coil, Running Wild, The Sword, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, The Cult, Deep Purple, Slayer, AC/DC, Masterplan, Vertical Horizon, Motley Crue, Queesryche, Drowning Pool, Disturbed, Iced Earth, Shinedown, Velvet Revolver, A Perfect Circle, Andrew WK, Fear Factory, Flaw, Mushroomhead, In Flames, Exodus, Sinergy, Sonata Arctica, Bloodsimple, Poison, THe Scorpions, Whitesnake, Motorhead, MercyfulFate, Anthrax, Soilwork, Mudvayne, Spiderbait, Bullet for my Valentine, Judas Priest, Social Distortion, Children Of Bodom, Lunatica, Theatre of Tragedy, Amon Amarth, Agalloch, Hammerfall, Dragonforce, Sirenia, Sins of thy beloved, Saxon, Iron Savior, My Chemical Romance...

That's a bit longer than I was hoping. Hmm. Maybe I'm a square.

Gee, that list is oddly similar to mine

Ring of Fire FTW!!!

Only song I didn't like by Johnny was Hurt. It was depressing. I wish he'd had a better end of his life🙁

If you didn't like that song I'd steer well clear of songs like 'He stopped loving her today'. That song's pretty sad when you think of the story to it.

The cover of "Hurt" was one of the greatest things he did! Heck, I like NIN, and I still say Cash outdid them with his version of the song.

Oh, I know every country song ever written in the last 20-30 years. I know that one. 😛

Right now I'm more into the currents tho: Rascal Flatts are my fave band ever atm😀

I love all types of music.

I listen to pop, rock, country, dance/club.

Faves are:

Nickelback
Madonna
Daughtry
Peter Cetera

My fave type of music is freestyle. No, not rap/hip-hop. It's a type of dance music that was popular from 1985-1995 or so.

There is a 2 cd set being advertised now called "Forever Freestyle" and if you don't know what freestyle is, you can see the commercial here.

HI Brad1707. ( I hope I got that right. hehe. bad memory)

Paul Williams is known for:

We've only just begun
rainy days and mondays
I won't last a day without you

HE wrote the songs to the Independent movie " Phantom of the Paradise"
and he's also written for the MUPPETS ( ie the Muppet movie, and Muppet Christmas Carol )

hope that helps a bit. = )

In mostly chronological order

Emerson Lake and Palmer
Yes
Wakeman
Wishbone Ash
Zeppelin
Bruford
Metallica
Testament ( by far the best ever metal act)
UK
Zappa
Slayer
Oscar Peterson

For the person wanting to get into drum music I'd suggest Bruford (my own personal favorite of all time) or Bobby Caldwell (Captain Beyond).

Just looked up Bill on Wikipedia

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Bruford

and learned a few new things.

If you get a chance listen to the opening of "Heart of the Sunrise", the last track of "Fragile" by Yes. Bill plays 22 bars of 4/4 without repeating a bar!.
