My other ticklish co-worker - true tickling

Some time ago I posted a true tickling situation about my co-worker and her admitting to be ticklish without any prompt from my side. Today I got first hand data about my other collegue. She sits in the same room as the first one. Age 27, blonde, short hair, blue eyes, pretty face, has decent, although not very beautyful legs. However, the best are her really big, wonderful breasts. She often complains about them being too big, which doesnn't stops her from wearing tight blouses and low necklines. Often wears miniskirts with long cuts, too, so almost every time she shows a lot of her body. I always wondered if she was ticklish, tried to poke here ribs from time to time - no reaction... until today. We were sitting with some other people and sharing some jokes, everybody in a giggly, playful mood. She was sitting in an office armchair - the kind with wheels attached. I said I was going to lunch and asked if someone wanted to go with me. She said she would, but feels too lazy to move. Being, as I said, in a silly mood I grabbed the back of her armchair and tried to drag her out of the room. Laughing, she grabbed the doorframe. I pulled a bit, then realized the opportunity, reached with one hand and tickled her outstretched right side. Definitely a ticklish reaction - she wriggled and lost her grip on the dooorframe. She was laughing all the time from the situation so I couldn't say if she laughed from tickling as well, but body reaction was obvious enough for me. I repeated my action two or three times more, of course she was holding the frame with her other hand, so I couldn't roll her out of the room, but my goal just changed 😉 Only after some "quickies" she run into an idea to simply stand up from the chair. But I got my tickles and my answer - definitely ticklish. The other good part was that nobody, including her, cared. It simply passed as a part of a joke/silly mood.

Thanks for the compliment, Natural tickler. But prophets tell the future; everything I know if from 20/20 hindsight, learning from the past. Both successes and (mostly) failures, and one of the greatest failures is knowing you should have tried but didn't.

Good going, do it again, do it longer next time isn't exactly the kind of advice I'd be giving. You want to be very careful about how you behave with co-workers. Now if you were talking about him tickling her outside of the workplace, then I apologize, but in the workplace is just asking for trouble.

if she missunderstands...(or if she's greedy and evil), and the way these things are treated these days (the woman is always right).

two things:
1) Double T, isn't it sexual harrassment whne its in a sexual intent? as i recall they were having fun, and it wasa "playful" tickle.
2) if she didn't like she would have ended it immediately. obvious here, she didn't. plus they're going out to lunch. a lunchtime tickle. can't get any better than that!!😎

Generally, what happened is not sexual harassment, HOWever, IF it becomes habit and at anytime she shows any negative reactions or responses, obviously you know, you will have to cease.
Playful is one thing however it can change very quickly.

Sexual intent is a gray area. One persons gray is anothers pitch Friggin Black.

Sadly, ANY physical touch whatsoever,, if objected to, can be construded as "assult" and even more sadly, anyone can file a "protest" to management, even an apparant Innocent bystander who may be insulted or offended by an action.

Just take the advise given here and Be Careful. Tread Lightly.

I have been on the receiving end of a lot of sexual harassment complaints dealing with tickling co-workers in my youth. So I would support Double T in his assessment that the risk is not worth the momentary thrill.

some things to keep in mind;

* it does not have to be of a "sexual" nature. if you touch someone and they decide they don't like it/you, they can file a complaint.

* the person being touched doesn't have to be the one who takes offense. there have been times where someone else (usually a manager or supervisor) witnessed the tickling and immediately pounced on the person I tickled to make sure they didn't feel sexually harassed.

* I have also been pulled aside and told to keep my hands to myself by managers despite no compaint by the person being tickled at all; the manager just felt better safe than sorry.

* it also doesn't matter if the person has been tickled before, either by you or anyone else. they may not mind it when Bob does it, but when you do it, they may still complain. deciding to "help" when you see someone else tickling a co-worker may still land you in hot water even if the other person isn't.

* you can't use the "she didn't seem to mind, so it was okay" defense. there've been a lot of times where, after not getting in trouble for tickling someone on and off for months, someone wandered up to me and said "quit tickling so-and-so. she doesn't like it." they won't always tell you if they're uncomfortable. women are funny that way.

so in conclusion, don't touch your co-workers. especially not the female ones. you may get away with it, but if it blows up, it will blow up big. it's not worth the risk.

It's best to get to know her first. If you get past this level, in becoming more than a co-worker, but a friend, then you could take liberties if the situation warrants. Up till then, heed the sound advice you're receiving.
I can't believe I got away with the shit that I did when I was younger! It's great having a Guardian Angel looking over your shoulder... 😉

Thank you for all warnings. I assure you I took ALL precautions and was 100% sure it was ok. It was between friends, a group of four younger people among the rest of the older ones. We often share jokes and make some silly things, like baloon fight or something. FIRST I made friends with her, ONLY THEN, and after 6 months of knowing her, I playfuly poked her ribs. I didn't and don't plan to tickle anybody at work for longer then, lets say 2 seconds... In the other thread I described tickling my other co-worker for a bit longer time, like 10 secs. After that I went to her and apologized, just to stay on the safe side and she said it was ok. So I completely agree with some of the points raised above, that PROLONGED tickling at work should be only a fantasy. Finally, here in Poland sexual harrasment standards are not as high as in the USA, or EU... A few weeks ago we also had a good time in our group. This girl, lets call her Agnes, was laughing very, very hard at some jokes. After that I had to go to my headmistress room and she asked smiling if we were tickling Agnes, because she was laughing so hard. I said we were only telling jokes, repeated one of them, the headmistress laughed too and that was that.
