Nails vs. No Nails

just curious to know what you guys/gals think is more effective. Do you prefer your ler to have long fingernails or none at all? What do you respond better to?

Good question. In my opinion, nails are better for tickling feet and more private areas, but I think fingertips squeezing my ribs and proding under my arms tickles much more. I was tickled once by a woman with long fingernails and it hurt more than tickled and I ended up with all kinds of scratch marks on me.

depends on the type of tickling you like better

for me, i respond to the light surface type of tickling better, so nails are my favorite way to go!

I love nails if they are used very lightly in almost a teasing manner. I think nails if kept right can be very effective, personally I think natural nails kept at a medium length are the best. I like to keep mine this way, if they get to long its very easy to scratch someone, mine are just long enough were I can still use my fingertips and adjust mt fingers gradually allowing for the nails to touch the skin with a graze, I think its this varying touch that is good. I also believe natural nails are more effective as they tend to be a bit thinner, keeping them slightly rounded instead of squared is great also.

Depends on where I'm being tickled. Being ultra sensitive to soft touches on my feet, I think fingertips are better there, ditto my underarms, where the skin is not as used to touch as my soles. I do love, however nails lightly tickling my ribs, just dancing lightly on the surface, on my tummy and belly button, and on my hips, back, and legs. Did you get all that, Paige? 😀 😛

Depends on the style of tickling and where.
If you are going to dig in, like the ribs, then shorter to no nails is best. If the tickling touch is going to be lighter, then nails are deadly(in a good way). The harder you tickle the shorter the nails should be. Nails can be downright evil on the feet if they are used properly.

I'm very ticklish everywhere, but nails don't work very well on me. Nails are good for quick tickles, but after a couple seconds they scratch more than they tickle. Fingers without nails work much better on me, especially the feet

Once upon a time, in preparation for a gathering, I grew my nails out on one hand while keeping them short on the other, so I could try both techniques at once. IME, either nails are not very useful, or I don't know how to use them (and they make various mundane activities like typing difficult), so they are generally not worth the trouble.

I think the trick is to have the nails just long enough so that you can feel them when you touch skin, you can try it on your own skin, when you can feel them they are just right, I find if you let them get too long it is more difficult to use them as a tickling tool. With your nails just right you can use them ever so softly for tickling, I have had wild reactions to them! If you press to hard with them they feel scratchy. It is more like you are just barely touching the skin with them ...think of your nails as a very light feather.., also with your nails just right you can use the fingertips very easily as well without the nails scratching!

I love both but when I "need to get tickled" I need someone with no nails..(well, short nails, no nails is just plain gross...lol...j/k🙂 Being tickled by someone with long nails can be verrry erotic and sensual and relaxing to me...it can tickle as well but the skill that controls that, lies within the tickler...someone with long nails who loves to tickle would know precisely how to administer the tickling so it could elicit either response....but nothing as of yet has elicited crazy hysterical laughter and an uncontrollable urge to flee the madness only to come back for more...like being opening ravaged by a set of ten short nailed fingers...*wink* 😀

Nails do have a great effect I think, both in giving off a reaction, plus showing off the sultriness and power of the tickler (female of course). But if you're good at tickling, methinks it doesn't matter if you're nails are short or long. Your fingertips are enough for the job!
