I spoke with Max last night. We're looking at dates in May.

So what is NEST?

NEST - North Eastern Society of Ticklephiles
Where - Philadelphia, PA
When - Probably in May (We're finalizing the date this weekend.

What is it? It's a party! It's a big party of people just like you and I who love the sport of tickling. There are "lers" and "lees" and "both" who attend. It's just like any other party you attend with some tickling thrown in to spice it up.

No one is subjected to tickling if they don't want to be. No one is forced into anything. It's very respectful and very fun. Some people come to play. Others come just for the joy of being around people who have the same interest. For me it was the realization of a life long dream that is now a reality. Just getting together with like minded folk and discussing this openly and frankly is absolutely refreshing.

The party starts when you get there and ends when you leave. There was tickling at the motel we all stayed at last year as well as at the club we rented for the actual NEST. So there was pre-NEST, NEST, and also post-NEST activities.

Like last year we will have a munch the night before so everyone can meet each other before the actual party. That was a terrific way to break the ice last year and helped many get over their "first gathering" jitters.

All for it! NEST is still the biggest and best, in my eyes, and I'm the Listfather of the West Coast Gatherings. May not happen a lot, but what it does, it does BIG! If Max gets that fine club again, for a Sunday event (as NEST is commonly a Sunday event, thus far), and we break into the 80s, or better yet, over a hundred, it will all the better. If it's only 70-some people, I'm sure it'll be... cozy. 😉

'Sides, where can you meet SO many people whose posts you read? I'm still glad for such, and remember meetin' Drew70 last time and bein' mighty pleased 'bout it (read that wiley man's posts on AMT and laughed hard, many times). Each time has new fun. Even if you're only viewin' the scene, it's still good, and there ARE folks who just watch, nervously. Some of 'em will be the ones playin' at this next one, likely.

Get a flight, and book a room in the main hotel, where ever it is. Fully half the delight of NEST is the constant hotel activity. Plan on goin' out to see a bit of Philly. We walked much of the downtown last time, and it was great! The hotel, though, is a gathering within the gathering. 4 days of hotel for the first NEST I visited, after hosting gatherings for years, was a mind-blowing bit of fun. Played the WHOLE time. Only hours without any tickling were unconscious.

Plan to squirrel some food, though. Distractions can keep ya from eating meals. Several meals. 😉 Don't wanna hear Bella yelling, "Gentlemen, FEED YOUR 'LEES!"

Max performing. The diner. Various restaurants. South Street. That *interesting* club we visited... There's all sorts of great reasons to visit. Go. Hang with others. Dig the scene. If you DON'T have a good time, do tell us. I know of only one person who's complained afterward, thus far. Maybe I'm just lucky.

Geez, then there's the international contingency. Like my West Coast Gatherings (which is weird, now that I ain't there) there are folks from out of the US. Canada, England, and others contribute to the mix.

We're hopin' t'make it there. There are SO many of you folks that I miss! Come, be there, meet me, and give more reasons why I miss that event, and wanna be there again. It's becoming the convention we used to wish for, back on the West Coast. Come grow it to the size it can be, and say hi to me!

Good lord, I'd forgotten about that! I arrived the day after a few other folks that year, and found more than one delirious 'lee walking into walls and falling up staircases (!) from malnourishment. And incredible happiness-'blissin' as DVNC calls it when I do it 😎 .

Y'know, there's somethin' funny 'bout you boys forgettin' somethin' that *I* remember...

For the few of you hopin' for a weekend event, do know that NEST has traditionally been on Sunday. Long story shortened, it's the best day for Max, and it IS Max's event, when ya get right down to it. I humbly suggest startin' t'save up for a room at whatever economical hotel we chose (and look for roomies!) and plan to be there AT LEAST from Friday through to Monday. At the very least.

Bella, you bliss so delightfully after a full and vigorous tickling that it's heartwarming. Warms several things, actually. Hands! I was talkin' 'bout HANDS!

What a great report about NEST. You always have a way of weaving the event into an exciting collage.

But I must correct you, Brother. Last NEST we broke the 80 people mark, so this time we are going to go for breaking the 100. After all, with all the food we always have, it's easy to feed everybody.

Maybe you guys are too busy playing to eat the enormous spread of food we always have. Can't blame you though. I'm always too blown away, walking the hallways and seeing people all over the place, up and down the stairs, and realizing that they are ALL people into TICKLING.

We are waiting for a few confirmations before we set the exact date. When we do, I guarantee the NEST Team will rally to put together an even bigger and better event for all of you. So keep your focus on Philly for May. It'll be warm and the flowers will be in bloom and the streets will be swarming with people. People totally unaware of the collection of Ticklers in their presence.

Not wo worry, mercy. You'd be in safe hands....no pun intended. Everyone associated with NEST has been truly wonderful and all boundaries are respected. As for the furthest someone has travelled, I know we had at least 2 folks from the UK last year. Max or one of the other organizers would know better than I about others.
