Woo - amazing finds. 😀 The second pic of the second post is a coloured version of one of Kamikuzu (the Grey Artist)s pictures, I think, but it still looks great!

My fave has to be the first pic of the second post. Nice finds, buddy!

thanks! i'm glad you like them as much as i do. my absolute favorite is the last one in the first post. she's casting a spell on her tied feet to tickle them, all while her wings wrap around the scene. definitely awesomeness.

I recommend that everyone post links to DA artists and their pages now and in the future and to never upload all of their art, just a few samples (to peak people's interest and encourage a stop by their webpage or gallery). Its only fair that if you're going to post samples of an artist's work (with or without consent), from another site gallery, that links are provided to that gallery to support the artist and their webpage.

As this isn't difficult or time consuming to do (as perhaps finding the galleries themselves may have been), there are no excuses for not doing the right thing. I hope this will not be a problem for anyone. 🙂

Not that theres any kind of a scoring or ranking system that I have or anything, but you win several points with me for being, to my memory, one of the few persons to do as I requested without fuss, backtalk, argument, or proding.

You set a good example for everyone, Sammi. Well done. You may think nothing of it, but having done just that much, regardless of my having asked, is good enough and I hope others will follow suit as well.

While I feel the artist is the most important factor in this, you bring up a good point, and it should be one more reason why people not only seek out these individuals but link back to them for everyone else's benefit. Its win win really.

4chan does alot of screwed up things, but one thing it has always been good about is it's ability to almost instantaniously link people to even the most obscure of artists with no problem and are also able to post very specific pictures at request, with no problems whatsoever.

This is because they're working as a unit, people remember pictures and learn to place an artist with a style, and because people constantly link 4chan to these people.

People need to bookmark pages more often too. That really helps.

I have no doubt that your intentions are truthful, so there isn't a reason for either of us to be upset. Posting links with the samples is the next best thing to asking the artist(which I still personally hold is the best thing to do, where and when possible).

This may seem like a chore for some of you, but on the up side, look at it this way:

If you do it once (and record it for future use), chances are, you won't have to ever do it again for that artist and people won't have to be asking for sources as often so matters aren't confined to a loop.

By taking care of things now you all but eliminate the necessity for them later. By creating good habits now, this will seem like less of a chore and more like second nature.

I commend you on your honesty however, even though its misplaced in this situation. If I was self-important, wanting to see OTHER artists get their dues and credit would be something I could care less about and I wouldn't ever post on the matter. So your choice of words seem rather spiteful and petty, at best. I'm sorry you feel that way.

The reason for the lack of support is and probably always has been laziness. People just don't want to have to do what someone else might do for them or is in a better position to do for them or they see the person cares more about it than they do, so they defer to them (as is the case with accredidation). Because this is a supply and demand issue, people are relying on other people for content, and that complexes the matter.

You haven't been the first to ask me that here.

I've been really busy with some of my other hobbies (like Warhammer).

Disgaea 2 didn't come out too long ago, so I've been playing that as well. Its a welcome change, Disgaea, since I'm not normally a video gamer and haven't been for a long time. Plus Disgaea is an RPG. And you know how that is...time consuming.

To answer your question though, it should be soon. I'm not sure if its going to be a portfolio piece (the ones I mention but can never share), or another fanart or something like that.

I've been watching alot of new anime recently, so I'm leaning more towards fanart.

Theres so much to draw though, its hard to decide.
