Well true albino animals are really really really rare. It's a bit more common to find them with white skin/fur/hair but without the pink eyes.
One of the animals I've been dreaming about having is a white hedgehog. 🙂 There really is nothing cuter than a hedgehog. 😀

They're not like porcupines...they're not sharp really but no they're not really cuddly. 😛 They ARE cute though!

Yeah I've got a lot of animals.. I just aquired an albino treefrog, as well, which I named Marshmallow and I an in the process of building a home for him. Or her.. not sure..

I Saw Some Albino Aligators At The New Orleans Zoo Years Ago Visiting My Nephew. How They Met My Nephew I Don't Know. ( Take On Groucho Marx Line). They Were Awesome Looking. I seem to remember hearing that polar bears have hair that is actually clear, hollow, tube-like things and the whiteness comes from the snow around them and the color of their skin. It had something to do with holding in heat better. I'll look it up...

Clear tubes are also to transmit sun light to the body for warmth. Got it from the Discovery Channel.
