November TMF Poll and October's results

A total of 945 responses were entered, representing a little more than 15% of members. No surprises were revealed except for the high number of voters claiming to be in their 70's, but most likely the majority of these confused age with IQ.

I remember when I voted on this poll, and I saw that there were more than 15 people here in there 70's. I found that VERY hard to believe. I mean, I support people here of ALL ages, I just kind-of doubt that that high of a percentage truly would be in their 70's!

Given that we had attendees at West Coast Gatherings that were in their 50s and 60s, it don't even surprise me anymore. 'Sides, college kids and retired folk are the most net accessing, beyond us geeks.

In 5000, having 1/550th of them bein' 70+ and bold doesn't surprise me much.

Imagine if YOU hadda wait to then to find this? What would stop ya from posting? What? Someone will find out? Who'd care? When I'm 70, I figure I'll care very little about what folks say about me already, so findin' my own, in this digital age, would be one excellent deal for me.

Picture what you'll do if virtual tickling is possible when YOU'RE 70+? Will you feel you're "too old"? "Too old" is clearly a state of mind, if you've met the folks I've met. The guy up the street from me still shovels his walk (it's already snowin' here), and that man's got more snow on the roof (grey hair) than his roof has.

Then again, it could be someone who thinks that fuckin' around wit' a poll here, in a community that's already at a disadvantage due to size is a really cool thing to do. There are losers in EVERY community, after all.

But hon, the statistic isn't 47 out of 5000. It's 47 out of 945 - the total who voted - making it almost 5% of membership. Not real believable. But I'll go along with QB's speculation. She's far more charitable than I am.

I suppose if I'm still alive and still interested in sex by my 70s, I'll still enjoy tickling. Frankly I don't like to think about it. Sounds way too exhausting. 😉

LOL! Darlin', the last thing I need is to get accurate at statistical analysis in a TMF post! I'll stick to the government model. 😉 47 folks, out of the total of the site (which is now 6048, actually. I was off in last week's numbers) was my target. In this mob, that's teeny (.8%). Heck, 5% is teeny.

Why folks are so weak about votin' for statistic is curious to me.

Oh, and some trivia for ya, and the listening audience - Post stroke, both times, I experienced an extreme drop in libidal drive. In both cases, tickling still interested me. It don't go away wit' the sex drive, in other words. Dunno if I'm a global example, or a sectional example, but it means that some number of us is gonna keep this into our golden years.

The thought gives me comfort. 😀

Oh sure the thought comforts you - you're a 'ler, not a 'lee! 😛 I think of how wildly I thrash around and I picture my 70+ old bones yanking at the ropes, joints dislocating, hips breaking...if I were all 'ler it might be different, but I don't wanna think about being an old 'lee.

Hee hee! You ain't met my wife, darlin'. Both you and I should be preppin' appropriate bindings. It IS possible to be fixed into an immobile position. Saves dislocations.

Strained muscles, though, are the tough part. 😉 It's part o' why I favor the slow, delicate approach. My 'lee lasts longer!

I have had lers much younger than 70 huffin' and puffin' while trying to break me. 😛

At the last NEST, one actually said, "You are wearing me out" heheheheh.
