A big Panama hat to shield me from the sun in summertime. I didn't realize how silly I looked wearing it until I took a good look at myself in the mirror at home.

What's one thing you've bought that you really loved afterwards?
 
Contacts (been wearing them 10 years with no issues).
What's your favorite type of car?
 
The first car that I ever owned, a Ford Mustang.

What car did you drive that caused you to think I never want to drive this brand of car again?
 
1999 Ford Taurus (gave me a lot of trouble).
What's the most expensive repair you've ever paid for?
 
Replacing several rusted lower panels (after several Boston winters), slightly over $1,000.

What car would you take if somebody offered you a free car, anything available?
 
Lamborgini.
Do you prefer being the host or the contestant in Hangman?
 
I prefer being the host.

When four or five people were playing it years ago, Amish would wait until others solved 7 out of 10 letters and then swoop in and solve it.

When you are hosting the game, are you rooting for correct guesses?
 
Yes, I'm not trying to trick you but I always find it interesting how the host knows and sees the contestant get letters and wonders when they really "see it."
Do you like shorter puzzles or longer ones in Hangman?
 
I like shorter words as the host because I like words with only one vowel.

Do you know the 26-letter sentence that uses each letter once? (It cheats by using the Roman numeral XV, but is still impressive.)
 
No but I'd like to know what it is.
What's the best thing about Mondays?
 
It is: XV quick nymphs beg fjord waltz. (Yes, I borrowed from it for some past games.)
Mondays are a day when I don't go to work.

Do you always do laundry the same day of the week?
 
Yes, for the most part I do it on Saturdays.
What's your least favorite chore to do at home?
 
Changing the sheets.
It used to be cleaning the toilet, but now a maid service does that.

Why do I still hate the cheating bastros, given that few players are left from their infamous 2017 team?

What's the most interesting thing that happened in the MLB season this year?
 
I think too many teams make the playoffs now.
How many teams do you think should make the MLB playoffs?
 
12 (a division winner each and 2 wild cards) because it's a short season.
How much of this world series will you watch?
 
I will watch every game as long as it is close (within 3 runs) and turn it off if either team gets a lead of 4+ runs. I will check back online every half hour to see if it got close again.

What is the worst one of the new rules in MLB in your opinion?
 
I don't care for the ghost runner in extra innings.
What's the spookiest thing that's ever happened to you?
 
In 1968, a girl that I had known in high school agreed to spend the weekend with me in college. Then her father found out about it and forbade her to do it. She obeyed her father and canceled our plans. I told my roommates at college that I cursed her father to death. A week later, he died suddenly of a heart attack. Nobody had known that he had any heart problems until he dropped dead at age 50.

Was that just a coincidence or did my negative energy towards him somehow squeeze his heart?
 
I'd say coincidence although I do believe in things that can't be explained.
Would you ever use that power again if you could on anyone currently?
 
Yes, but I won't say on whom. (No, it is not any member of the TMF.)

Have you ever had a weird coincidence that you couldn't explain?
 
Yes. The day after my Grandmother passed away in 2009 I was on the phone with my mom and we were talking about my grandmother. Suddenly my mom's t.v. changed several channels on its own (she was not near the remote control) and stopped on the news that she watched everyday at that time.
What's the best and worst thing about Halloween?
 
The best is that there is lots of chocolate candy in all stores.

The worst is that ugly people are wearing skimpy costumes (such as "sexy nurse") exposing their ugliness to the world.

Do you know any people who might be witches? :witchy:
