Please don't read this, but I desire to complain in a public place that my 15 yr old son returned his broken Creative MP3 player to
Best Buy....the guy in the Geek Squad took it in the back room and told him to exchange it with a new one out on the floor. They didn't have one like his, so another guy in the Geek Squad told him to just go home & call the 800 number on the
Protection Plan. Of course he should have told guy 1 to give him back the broken thing, but he didn't at the time. And now no one knows ANYTHING about it and he lost his $199. I am furious and will follow this up. The lady at the
Protection Plan 800 number told me 2 times this week the
computers were updating, and anyway they can't do a thing till he returns the original broken mp3 player. The manager of
Best Buy kept laughing at how silly my boy was to walk away without the broken MP3 player..... I want documentation on all of this. And I want to say that refunds are very difficult, protection plans worse. (sometimes) and I hate my boy gettin screwed.
whew i feel a little better.
ps. my boy called this a "
$200 education fund." He's not even mad, and that makes me mad too.
