We do have some Alligators in Texas, but we also have many poisonous snakes, and Alligator Gar that I am sure would rip a grown mans leg off.

Well, Tell Noodle Head that once the Water comes to a complete boil, turn the eggs off and cover the pot with a lid. Wait 15 minutes, rinse and drain.
(Note, add a couple cap fulls of EVOO to the water before boiling. It will soften the shell slightly and make peeling the shell off the egg easier.)

No. You put scrambled eggs into them. That is the best way. Although I have been known to put over easy eggs into them also.
