When Ross saw the looks on Fritz and Ross's faces when he arrived in OKC, Ross was "eager" to know what was going on.

Alan told Tom about the Canada situation. When Tom heard this, he became very concerned, and he called me. Tom thinks that we should "Cease" all business for the time being, until the Toronto mess is ironed out" Steve said.
Ross sighed. "Damn! If we do that, we might well have to close the whole company down, and sell off all of the assets. Our whole dream is gone then. Did Tom give you any, justification for this, considering the fact that neither Fish, or any of the corrupt behavior that either he or anyone else involved with him, was only in Toronto, and Fish was never involved in this company. That either sounds like, Tom knows or suspects something that none of us know about, or, we cant separate it, and someone or something we dont know about, can attack this company in the United States anyway" Ross said.
"I dont know. I'll tell you what. Call Tom,and tell him we need to have a conference call with him ASAP. Try to see if he can talk to us today or tomorrow. After that, we will decide what to do" Steve said.

Ross called Tom's office in Philadelphia. "This is Ross. I just learned of some supposedly crucial business that Tom should discuss with me. Can you please tell him to call RFS Oklahoma City, ASAP, He has the number" Ross said.
"Yes, Ross. Tom will call you at 5 pm today" The secretary said.

At 5 pm Tom called the RFS office, and Ross put Tom on speakerphone, with Steve and Fritz in the room of course.
"Tom,you know why I'm calling, and what you told Steve. I will keep quiet and let you talk. Please explain yourself, and then we will respond" Ross said.
"Ross, while nothing is a "guarantee" after the way you guys got hit in Canada, continuing to do business in RFS USA is very, very risky. You never know what might hit you all or the company, that can or could bring the whole house of cards down" Tom said.
"Tom, that almost sounds like. "Running scared. In any successful business, there is risk. I for one, refuse to stand pat and be scared of what could , might, or would happen, since its highly likely that we are going to lose Canada, and might well lose Alaska as well, because of the way the Tundra division is set up. I think, we proceed forth with OKC as we have, doing shows, and buying companies, and if we get sued, we will contact you, and deal with each thing as it comes" Ross said.

"How about this, one show, tomorrow, then the meeting about the company buy, see if we can do dinner tomorrow night or early the next morning. I have to go home by two days from now in the evening" Ross said.
"I figured that with all going on at RossShell. I will tell you what, let me call both the field, and the guy involved with the company buy, and then we will figure it out.
When Steve called the guy, the guy confirmed dinner the next night. Then, Steve called the field, and set up one show early the next day. At that rate, Ross would be on his way home, by early the following morning.

We had a conference call where everyone laid their views on the table. We agreed that doing such, is running scared, and that we cant.. run a business based on what might happen, and fear, so, we decided that OKC continues as usual with shows and buying companies. If something comes up, we will worry about it then" Ross said.
"Sounds like a good plan, when are you coming home?" Kayley asked.
"I will be home when you get home the day after tomorrow. We have one show tomorrow, and one meeting about a possible product and or company acquistion" Ross said.

My company, according to those, has been appraised at anywhere between 50 to 75 million. They also show the potential product in the ground that I have, but I realize that you will want to have RFS geologists do your own surveys " Sam said.

"Ross, I know that you live in New York, and have another company. I was thnking .. 90 days" Sam said.
"Please dont consider that. I'm down here once a month at least. RossShell is set up so that I can get out of town rapidly, unless I'm working on one account, that I have set up on a monthly basis. If I have a week's notice, usually less, I can get down here" Ross said.

I say, if the geological look good on this, buy Sam's company, figure out what to do with it, break it up, take it apart, what to do what the product, and such. It looks like at most a moderate risk deal" Ross said. .
"I agree. Okay, so we give these papers to the geologists and the lawyers, and then see" Steve said.
Ross was taken back to the hotel, slept, and got on an 8 am flight to JFK. Ross landed in JFK at 2, and got home by 3, before Kayley.
