I'm a musician ... not known world wide, though :sad:
I have a respectable collection of guitars, basses, amps, and related gear. Used to play the local clubs here. 80's hard rock like Jovi, Van Halen, and Poison. My singing voice is a bit like Sebastion Bach from Skid Row or Mike Tramp from White Lion mixed with McCartney. I'm a bit rusty these days, though. I do a great impression of Davy Jones. I even vaguely resemble him. Not him now, but him back in the 70's. I like modern and classic rock but I still think that 80's stuff was the best. Some of my favourite songs are ones I've written. Jovi, up until recently, was my favourite songwriter right after the Beatles.

I'm also an artist. I thought I was going to be a professional illustrator. Unfortunately, I live in a city where there isn't a huge demand for it. I've designed storefront displays for some local businesses.

I write. Currently I'm writing scripts for a local series I'm trying to get off the ground. I've built 85% of the sets needed for it.

Here's a fact that relates directly to this site. I built a bondage table for tickling when I was 16. I used it only a few times on the neighborhood girls. Girls used to try to tie me up and tickle me at parties. Fortunately, I'm excellent at getting out of ropes.

Let's see.. is there anything else? I love seafood but am not a fan of fish. I like steaks as rare as I can get them. I love to cook but I'm not a big eater. I love to throw big parties but they're expensive so I only do it a few times a year. My best friend looks like Robert Downey Jr. Anything else? Hmmm... guess I can stop here.

Oh, and I work for the U.S. General Services Administration as a Property Manager.

Well, kind of embaressing, but I dont mind.

I was born with testicular cancer (called yolk sack cancer at the time, maybe still today) and had a testicle removed, and I now take a blood test every year and get a physical for a check up (this is actually something no one but my family knows...haha) but yeah, I'm fine now. They say I could actually get an artifical one, but hey, we'll see about that later huh? *shudder* Hope it isnt painful, probably is. I feel like Lance Armstrong! Heh.. 🙄

I play trumpet, not as well as I did in high school, but okay all the same.

Hey, I take karate as well. My style right now is Okinawan Shorin Ryu. I have been taking private lessons for about 2 1/2 years now. I have also studied tae kwon do, and kenjutsu. I would really like to study wing chun and maybe throw in some Jeet Kune Do concepts.

Hmm..I never post here much, so there's LOTS of things you guys don't know about me. But here's some choice examples:

My nickname (KillerK) orginates from a sadistic gym teacher in school. My friends starting using it as their nick name for me, so I'm stuck with it!

I watch Japanese drama shows as well as anime. One of the more embaressing aspects of this is that I sometimes watch 'Henshin' series...these are the series that get re-edited with American actors and put on kids TV under the new title 'Power Rangers'.

I went to college but dropped out. I'm now doing study in my free time, all while balancing a job also.

I want to be a race driver. That's been my dream since I was 5...but I'm no closer to achieving it.

I've not really been active here long, so I've had no real reason to reveal anything about myself. Here goes nothing then... 😛

1) I read and review lots of Powerpuff Girls fanfiction. All of it that's posted on www.fanfiction.net, in fact, which is quite a bit (about 1500 stories in the last 30 months). I got into it by accident one day when I clicked on the wrong link - I was heading for the Simpsons section. 🙂

2) You know how, when you were in school, people kept telling you that you'd need a degree to get a good job? Well I have one, but I'm here to tell you that it didn't help me. Am I bitter? Of course not! 😀

3) I'm a pro-am ballroom dancer - was, really. I haven't done it in a while, so I would imagine I'd be quite rusty now...

4) My favourite subject was maths. 😀 Honestly!

5) I love raw onion sandwiches - but no-one else seems to. 😛

I want to study Akido - My psychology professor is also the Akido instructor and since it's the only martial art on the campus, you have to register pretty early because the class fills up quick.

We moved to Michigan because we were fleeing my father who was going to sell my sister and me to a couple in Texas.

My grandfather nearly shot my father the day we left.

I have an eye disease called amblyopia where my vision will degenerate to eventually nothing in one eye. As of now I am legally blind in that one eye, ...still completely functional (and NO, it does not do some weird wandering thing because I can only see shapes and colors out of it) -laughs- Jeff knows how many times I've run into things without my glasses on! Oh yes, and because of this I can't ever wear contacts because if something happened to my good eye, I would be without site, so I need glasses to protect them!

Oh yes! And I recall in one post where I said once I get my drawing back from the gallery, I would submit it on here...and I got it back! So attached, there it is!

Something y'all don't know about me?

(1) This year I will be starting my 3rd year as a youth baseball coach

(2) I'm a vocalist at our church, doing solos on occasion and am doing duets/trios with my kids.

(4) I'm trying to learn how to play the penny whistle, so I can play irish folk, one of my favorite music styles.

(5) have reviewed articles to be published in three different pharmacy journals

Am glad to see I wasn't the only one to wait for the wedding...MDJ and I waited for each other when got married 17 yrs ago. Trust me gang, it's worth the wait. Don't give in to the peer pressure that some in society has erroneously created in saying "you need to see if you're compatible.." It's hogwash. Spending the time to learn how to please the other is all a part of the growth in marriage.

Have never understood why the movies and books equate 'coming of age" with losing one's virginity. The more mature theing to do is wait, not jump right in...anyway, is my opinion. Glad to see I'm not alone in it...

I LOVE irish music, its so uplifting, magical and spiritual. It takes you to another place.

I got mine at a Music stand that sold tapes of Irish and scottish music and instruments (some wooden ones made on the spot) at Silver Dollar City in PIgeon Forge, TN now known as Dollywood. You may have to find an authentic Irish pub or Irish/Scottish/Celtic speciality store otherwise.

Have been listin to The Chieftans and others so much my son want to learn the flute when they start the band stuff in a few years.
