Okay, now to the point of my original thread. One year ago today, March 17, 2005, was the day that changed my life. As those who know me are aware, on that day, during a doctor visit, I was found to have high blood pressure, with a weight of 197 pounds. Quite simply, I needed to change my life, and lose a lot of weight, while bringing my blood pressure down.
One year later, on the anniversary of that unpleasant day, I sit here as a much thinner, and healthier man, in the low to mid 170 pound range, with much lower blood pressure, and a healthier emotional and physical outlook.
So, today being the anniversary of my health situation, what did I do? Yep, I had chinese food! I wanted to celebrate this milestone day, the anniversary of the day that forever changed my life.
Thank you to all the forum members who supported me through my health issues this year, and a Happy St Patrick's Day to all!

To change ones lifestyle is no easy feat and you should be very proud of that accomplishment.High blood pressure is no joke. My father in 1995 came out of his house and soon after, he had a MAJOR nose bleed I seen it actually it looked like it was being forced out with pressure. I Rushed him to Er and they couldnt stop bleeding and they were more concerned with his blood pressure it was climbing very high. Doctor was with him and I seen the BP with my own eyes at 315/190. Doc said "I gave him all the meds that I could now we must wait" My father was on that guerney and it looked he was having a seizure bouncing around but it his BP that caused this effect.I was afriad for him and 10 minutes the drugs took effect and it dropped to 190/110-----Doctor later told him if it was not for the nose bleed he surely would have died from a brain aneurysm! Nose bleed basically relieved SOME of the pressure. So I applaud you wholeheartly
