Patriots getting their butts kicked

I could care less where it happens. The point that it's happening is the unbearable part.

I actually take some satisfaction in you (as a Cowboys fan) admitting that. And if you hadn't heard, allow me to be the one to break this one to you: the Steelers have now broken the tie with the Cowboys with 15 championship appearances since the 1970 merger, setting the all-time record in the league. :boogie::milestone:

I actually did know that. And while the Steelers currently have the lead in Super Bowl victories, let me remind you of a few things.

The Cowboys currently hold the lead in Super Bowl appearances, achieving it through 14 conference championship appearance. The Steelers will need at least their 15th to match.

Dallas is 8-6 in conference championship game, the Steelers 7-7.

Dallas has achieved as much as the Steelers have in quicker fashion. The Steelers basically had a 30-year head start.

You may be on top now, but we're one step behind you.

As far as victories go...let the bullshit celebrations happen without penalty...there shouldnt be any for the guys getting excited....If they celebrate too early it will come back to bite them anyway....and if they celebrate this week they most likely wont get the chance to celebrate next...

Who actually cares.....and as for records in sports, only individual ones mean anything...6 rings or ten for a franchise are most likely won by totally different teams.....most guys arent around long enough to see very many... so...like...who cares..alll that matters is the current week where football is concenrned....the wins before mean nothing if you dont win today....

Fans that think otherwise are just foolish...and getting worked up over it is worse....its why sports has gotten a bad name for the last 20 years...spiraling downhill...and many of the fans act like asses...no fun it that for those who just want to enjoy a game now and then..

You'll have to educate me on bullshit victories. How does that
work? Does that mean you score phantom touchdowns? 😕

As far as Brady and the Jets... I'm not even sure what to say there.
The Jets have been spewing diarrhea for I don't even know how long.
And I'm not concerned about consoling Brady's fans. I just think it's
amusing that people like you think he gives half a shit about your
opinion.

1. A bullshit victory in the case of the Patriots-Oakland game of January 2002 refers to the "tuck" ruling that screwed the Raiders out of a victory.

2. True fans care about the loss, not Brady's wife

3. I never directed any comment toward Thomas Brady. Why you would think that is beyond me. I mean, is it just as amusing that you think your comments are of any interest to any of the NY Jets?

LOL THe Cowboys had years of bullshit victories if you want to go back...lol...this is too funny

1. Was it an illegal ruling? Bias favoring the Pats?

2. Fans care about the loss, but the haters care about bashing
Brady.

3. I never directed my comments to the Jets. Just about them. And
their poor sportsmanship. It's one thing to celebrate, it's another to
act like a dick.

The Pats were outplayed yesterday....the Jets carried things a little far showing what type of team they really are...the Steelers will be able to pay them back on the field next week....what goes around comes around..

Personally, I always felt the excessive celebration penalties were too strict. Case in point, Sunday's game. The Jets just beat their division rivals in Foxborough when very few gave them any hope of winning, Welker bashed their coach, fans and players trashed them all week and they totally outplayed them. They have a right to celebrate. The Jet thing was NOT excessive by common sense standards seeing as the game was pretty much over at that point. Celebrating hard fought victories is part of the game.

That's a great idea! I just might do it! :carmeldansen:

To you Pats bashers: Bash all you want. I'm sure Tom Brady will
be totally heartbroken to know what you think of him when he
goes home to wipe his ass with his millions of dollars and sleep
with his smokin' hot wife. Unless, of course, your Victoria's Secret
model wife is hotter than his. Then maybe he'd be sporting a twinge
of green. At least the Patriots can sleep knowing they are with class
and good sportsmanship. Granted, I've not been a NFL fan for that long,
but I've never seen anyone actually get a penalty for zooming around
the endzone pretending to be an airplane.

Are you serious? The Patriots show good sportsmanship? You must not watch football too much if you believe the Patriots have class and sportsmanship. They're the most arrogant bunch in the NFL, starting with Tom "Ken doll" Brady. True, the Jets are brash, but the Patriots had it coming for a long, long time.

I don't know about that Venray. Ever since Mike "Omar Epps" Tomlin took over, the Steelers physical play has turned into dirty play. The Steelers need to get their retribution as well....

Jets just dont have what it takes to maintain....they have enough good games to keep them going but fold like so many other teams...

the NFL has got to rethink the way they do the playoffs...too many second rate teams get into the playoffs to begin with all for the sake of generating more $$....

Teams that play well all year should be the ones competing....not teams like the seahawks and others who fall short all season long and get lucky enough to be the spoilers....

Not fun to watch any more...3 out of the last 5 Superbowl games werent worth turning on the telly for...

Wow.. 3 out of the last 5 Super Bowls weren't worth it?

2005 (2006 Super Bowl): Steelers over Seahawks. Yeah, it was an ok game.

2006 (2007 Super Bowl): Colts beat the Bears. Yeah, wasn't the greatest game

2007: Giants over Pats. One of the greatest games ever.

2008: Steelers over Cardinals. Another tremendous game.

2009: Saints over Colts. Saints pull out all the stops to beat the Colts.

The last 3 Super Bowls were quite entertaining. This year is a year where all teams who made the playoffs have a legit shot of winning it all. Call the Seahawks second rate, but they knocked out the former world champions.

LOL THe Cowboys had years of bullshit victories if you want to go back...lol...this is too funny

I'm sure every team has had victories that can be classified as bullshit. How many of them started a Super Bowl run?

The NFL doesn't have the gap in talent that other leagues have during the playoffs. The 6th-seed beating the top seed in the NFL isn't as unexpected as an 8th-seed beating the top seed in another sport.

The past three SB's have been some of the best ever and I expect another great game this year.

Green Bay-Pittsburgh would be fun. And Green Bay-NY would be great, too.

Depends on what you find entertaining, Bro....I was torn during the Giants Pats Matchup because I have always liked both teams...so I really had no one to actually root for...Loved the Steelers Cards matchup and the Saints doin it but the others fell flat....I f the Steelers go against the Packers it will be a decent game to watch...otherwise I will occupy my time with other activities that day...

I just laugh because everything being said about the Pats today has already been said about the Cowboys during their (long ago) dynasty...they were the team to hate back in the day and why...because they won and played well... so all the other fans couldnt stand them....the way of football...always has been...

I think a Jets-Packers matchup would be a hoot. America's "loudest" team, vs the most traditional. Red hot QB Aaron Rodgers vs a Ryan defense. The Steelers had their run, plus, I wouldn't be able to stomach watching a team take physical play to a dirty level play for a title again. I miss the Cowher Steelers...

The best thing about the Jets beating the Pats? We don't have to hear about this genius of Bill Belicheat for at least another year. Hopefully Brady gets a haircut...

You go on and on about the Steelers "dirty play" as if the Steelers are evil and all the other teams are shining white knights that never do any wrong. Pick any team in any game and you'll see your "dirty play". The way you harp on it, prime, is causing me to lose respect for you as a sports fan, and I have a lot of respect for you as one. But you sound like nothing but a Goodell cheerleader when you go on with that bullshit. And that's what it is. They all do it. But seeing as how Harrison was made the poster child for fines this year, the media focuses on the Steelers' D and you just eat it up. Give it a rest already and focus on the game itself.

Don't give me that Slacker, you damn well know the Steelers play dirty. James Harrison is the poster child. That guy always plays dirty. From kneeing a defenseless player on the ground in the head, to the head shots this year. Slacker, can you explain to me what the Ike Taylor head butt was this past weekend was all about? Can you tell me why Kemeoatu dove on top of the pile TWICE? The Steelers have been playing dirty lately. Hines Ward is a physical receiver, and I like Hines, but he's elevated his physicality lately.

You can moan all you want about Goodell, but be real. Ever since Tomlin took over, your Steelers have elevated their physical play more towards the dirty side. Under Bill Cowher, they didn't have that stigma.

wow 5 pages of talking about the Jets beating the Patriots...

I'm hoping for a Jets and Bears superbowl personally...

Because unlike someone else that said he likes to see teams he hates make it to the superbowl and lose.. well I don't like teams I hate making it to the superbowl..

I hate the Pakers more than the Steelers but if one of those teams made it all the way I'd rather see the Pakers go because I don't want the Steelers to get another Superowl.. lol.. But I do think the Jets can beat the Steelers...

And someone else mentioned this, but I shall too.. you can call the Seahawks second rate if you want, but they did beat the Ain'ts who did have a pretty good record... And if only they started their come back earlier, maybe they would have beat the Bears.. but oh well... They beat the Defending Superbowl champions and that's pretty good... and the Ain'ts aren't bad...

You know what....I started a long post to argue this point with you, but I've decided not to do it. You and all the others that want to vilify players for playing the game tough, go right ahead. Hate Harrison. Hate Ward. Hate Lewis and Suggs and Finnegan and any other player any of you want to call a dirty player. These are the guys, love'em or hate'em, make the game fun to watch and keep it interesting. And when the NFL becomes Flag Football where no one gets hit (yeah, an exaggeration...or is it?), you enjoy watching it and enjoy how all the life has been sucked out of the game. Because when it gets to that point, I won't be watching anymore and will no longer care. But until that happens, I'm going to savor every hard hit, every collision, no matter who's playing, as if it was the last one I'll ever see. It won't be long before it WILL be.

GO STEELERS!!!!!!!

I think there is more passion for everyones team in here from the members of TMF then the players on those teams. I don't get all pumped up cause my team is playing a certain team cause with free angecy most of these guys careless it's just another day at work to collect there check.
I will say one thing and it's not a slam on certain coach's but I don't recall guys like Joe Gibbs or Tom Landry and any of the great coach's talking trash and when the coach isn't a trash talker the team follows there lead.
Now guys like Rex Ryan who love the sound bites have teams that follow his lead, now living with years of Buddy Ryan as a head coach and the bounty bowl I never heard the great Reggie White trash talking cause he let his skills do his talking. I personally think trash talking is poor sportmanship and should be addressed along with celebrates cause I love it when a guy makes a sack and dances around not looking up at the scoreboard to see his team is down 24 points. Celebration is done bt one person so they can grab more highlight film when in fact if it's running back he most likely wouldnt be celebrating anything without at least 2 key blocks from his offenive line now what he should do is walk back to those buys and shake there hands and thank them but sports forgets that there is no I in team.

the part that cracks me up is how everyone here is dismissing the Bears in the Super Bowl chase...go ahead if you must, but it is no guarantee the Pack is leaving the Chi with a win

Um excuse me, not everyone. Although I noticed that too, and I think I mentioned how everyone was not talking about them or whatever, but I mentioned the Bears going.

Bears and Jets for the Superbowl.

I don't think anyone should be suprised with whatever Super Bowl matchup is determined Sunday. The Bears beat the Packers at home and played them close in Green Bay. They'll play they type of close game you'd expect between division rivals.

I think the Packers being in the Super Bowl would be more exciting. They have an offense that can really put up points. And I think Aaron Rodgers is the best QB remaining.
