I have to agree with a lot of the gripes that have been voiced here. Tickling videos are a commodity that people buy with particular, if somewhat individual expectations. They are not really an art form like a feature film, though the reactions of some of the producers when suggestions are given or criticism is voiced do seem like those of peeved artists.
I read a write-up on a video, see a couple of pictures and perhaps a short trailer. On that basis I make my judgement to buy or not, and mostly the product falls short of the sales pitch. They choose the best parts for the trailer, and write whatever is likely to make the video sell.
Incidentally, Last Laugh is an exception there, as mostly the descriptions correspond pretty exactly to the content of the videos. But they must also be a lot of work, which most producers don't seem to want to put in.
So, take Tickle Central. Was a great site, still has great models and what I am about to say I realise is a purely personal response. But every fucking time they start the more intense tickle of the feet, they focus on the foot and the only one seeing the reactions of the model herself is the bloody producer. Now, is that a massive flaw. For me, yes, and it prevents me from buying their stuff any longer as I get too frustrated and actually i bought the video to enjoy, not to get frustrated. So I settle for some less accomplished sites so that I don't get frustrated.
Some of the other things that frustrate me with Tickle Central - nevertheless among the very best sites out there, is that the kind of natural dialogue that used to exist between early models like Britney and Heather is hardly present any longer. Scenes where the tickler asks whether it tickles, why she should stop, if she is ticklish, and then expects and ANSWER are no longer there. Instead the tickler states that the model is ticklish. Again, what the hell, it frustrates me, it prevents me from buying, but it is not really a slating of the producer, who does not know my particular likes and dislikes.
And that is what I thought this thread was about!
After all, media producers are out to sell videos. Most of us here want to buy the ones that meet the particular bent of our fetish. If the descriptions became accurate and full, and the trailers showed a cross-section - not the bit the producer feels is going to sell the video - you would have far fewer bitching, frustrated customers.
Some of my other pet hates are nylons that come off only in the last 1/4 of the video (why the hell can't they say that), or a video in which there is only upper-body tickling, which, having been stupid enough to buy it, I simply delete from my computer (why can't the producer make that clear in advance?) And it certainly does happen!
