Playful Tickling

Some people have told me that there's no such thin as playful tickling, since at least one of the particpants are sexual enjoying it. I'm not turned on by tickling, it's playful and friendly to me, so what's so wrong with it? Oh, and if anyone knows a site dedicated to playful tickling stories and pictures, let me know.

Of COURSE there's such a thing as playful tickling. It runs the spectrum from innocent horseplay to erotic foreplay. Whomever told you that is wayyyyyy too opinionated. Ask them if that includes tickling an infant or child? I'm gonna invoke Dave here and use his kissing analogy... tickling and kissing have so many different levels within them, it's ridiculous to say that there's just one kind. You're going to kiss a family member a LOT differently (depending on where you're from 🙄 ) than you would your lover or spouse, true? The same applies to tickling, does it not? Relax... it's all good here. WE get it, don't we Gang?

Allie, people enjoy tickling for different reasons. Many people outside the community tickle each other as means of communication, or playful horsing around, as you said. I would venture to guess honestly that most tickling by people outside the tickle community is just that as you said, playful. It is a means of physically joking and horsing around, whether between friends, or in relationships. Before I came to TMF and realized I had a tickle fetish, the tickling I did was playful. You interpret tickling how you want, that is your choice, and a personal thing. If you want it to be playful, then so be it, it is a free country, and people have choices to interpret such things in any way they wish.

Tickling is tickling- just a medium of physical sensation (albiet one we all find pleasurable here). The intent and mood of it depends on the people involved. Playful is fun, casual, and enjoyable and the only type of tickling I've ever experience and with that I am content. For anything more it requires the right individual, circumstances, and mood and should those present themselves, I would be just as willing.

Tickling to me is enjoyable in almost every setting. It's not really important what other people bring to the table, but rather what you want to get out of it. Three cheers for playful tickling and another three for its closest kin.

I can see where your friend is coming from but he is off base...now HE may not be able to seperate the two but there are people that can and do.

All forms of tickling are enjoyable to me. All is not sexual, even though you may use it to test the waters of someone you may have a secret crush on. It could be in good fun like when I give my kids the occasional poke or pinch. That certainly doesn't turn me on! Or, between adults, it may lead to the sensual, erotic tickling that I prefer, interchanged with the fun and playful.
