I dunno if it'll be a hint so much as it'll be a swing and a miss. Since most of the guys here(Not all, so if you can type a complete paragraph more than just to me to look like you can type a paragraph then you're fine) don't really try to be all story-ish about it. Not that I don't agree though. But again, you're better off shooting this somewhere more RP oriented, since the site is more oriented on the fetish.

Whether or not we RP, some look at it as art, as well as fun, like myself. Though I'm no pro at it. Nor do I care if I am or not. I'm just happy enough I add a little spice to it and am not lazy enough to be so simple in my wording.

And sorry, but I got a laugh out of that really happening to you. Kinda helps prove my statement, but it's still good to see you're trying. But still effort better spent on doing what you clearly do best.😛

It's funny though. I think it's a nice shot - but it ain't over yet. In the time after I posted this guide, I've gotten very much feedback on the private-chat levels (to my account and in the chatroom) along with some more outspoken congratulations for a nice post.

Thing is.. I never thought I would revolutionize the entire world with this post! If some people are happy with "tickle tickle" leading to "HAHAHA" then let them do so. Instead, I want to make clear that there are other people in here with other needs than the simple quick-fix creepy-lurkers.

When I don't wanna rp with a guy that introduces himself with a *throws net over you and tickles you crazy*, then I usually gets a question around WHAT is wrong with that persons rp. This post is kinda the best answer I can give.

Another thing though.. Like.. 80 % of responses to this thread is going like "Nice guide. I agree with it, but it won't work so give up". Even though I'm gonna continue working for this case, it's highly demotivating! Also, I fear that because the majority of the posters here don't believe this will work, the ones who would agree AND believe change could be made WILL NOT POST because they would be going against the current. People usually don't like to disagree with the majority. And even though you don't believe in it, you would want this to happen. In other words, you're working against your own cause! :angelsad2:

Those that don't believe in change will work against the change even if they actually want the change. I don't want you to shut all up, no no! But with some increased supportiveness, there might actually get changes around here!

...there are also those that respond here with mean-spirited name-calling as well, calling people "jealous" and "bitter" and "wrong" which, aside from being inaccurate, is purely hateful, especially to do to someone you don't even know. I shouldn't have stooped to that person's level by retaliating but, then again, that person's response never should have been submitted and also should have been edited and/or removed. It's people like whoever that was that undermine not only your efforts, Witch, but the better intentions of this community as a whole.

I applaud your efforts and pray that you find satisfaction to some degree in them, Witch but, if I may make a perhaps more practical suggestion, maybe you could help form some sort of writers' or role-players' club that you could head up, structure as you wish, and thereby encourage more like-minded people from this forum. That wouldn't be elitist or exclusivist in the least, either; moreover, it would be essentially no different than if members of this forum wanted to form their own club for liking, say, baseball. Or Italian cuisine. Or 1990's television sitcoms. The intention, I would hope, would be to band people together whose chat and play styles are more in lines with yours and therefore appeal more to you and what you hope to enjoy most from this forum.

The main thing, to me, is that everyone's entitled to seek enjoyment from this forum as they see fit...unless, in my opinion, it involves what that one person did in his/her post on this thread, and is nothing more than an unmitigated, inaccurate, hateful personal attack. While I'll do my level best not to cater to people like that by retaliating in kind, I just hope that, one day, those types of people either leave or are removed from this forum...or at least that posts like that one are. In the meantime, Witch, best of luck with your endeavors, which I feel would help this forum immeasurably on many levels. 🙂

I have been looking for people who are looking for more quality in their tickling RP~ to consider having one on ones in the Roleplaying forum. I do enjoy the whole group RP thing they're having there~ but I'm far more interested in seeing actual 1on1's with the space to actually have some narrative, some atmosphere~ the ability to play a character with a quality partner.

I definitely try to incorporate that if I'm ever bothered to playing in the chatroom~ but that stage is far too small to have a good quality RP. It can be fun, but it's cyber compared to the kind of roleplay I have on other forums or even IM~ I understand the frustration of dealing with people who don't have any sense of value with their RP, and it's so demotivating to start playing with another just to have them respond with one line, or worse yet, a simple action. It makes me wonder how these people view the world, or even actual tickling. We're more than just a sum of actions, theirs thought and emotions too. If you can't convey these things, then you're not really roleplaying~ you're not really taking a role as much as citing a dictation of events.

I'd love to see more people open to the idea of forum RP~ you do lose a sense of privacy when you go that route, but the reward of having a nice long storyline with someone whose talents and company you enjoy are worth it I think. <3

I'm actually wondering about a few things with this.

First would be: Do you expect everyone to use a false persona or just play as themselves?

Second is: Do you expect this to be something that happens in the chatroom or just on the forums? Or both?

And the Third is: In terms of length, how long are you expecting these rp's to be, after people take to heart what you've written here? If you could give me an example of the setup or so that'd really be helpfull.

The part in bold unfortunately frightens me. In this kind of forum you've basically put up a topic that shows that you know how to RP. RP incredibly well I might add. I'd venture so much to guess that 60% of the people who PM'd you with congratulations, really just want to get a piece of you. From what I've gathered in this place through sheer observation, is that alot of people here are like sharks.

We got some big big man-eater sharks around here. And we got the lurky one's that still jump on possible tickle prey. But we also do got the very kind sharks that actually are pretty intelligent, and not after one thing. But we must note 3 sad facts that may add to your up in popularity.

1. You're a girl. For some reason this is huge.

2. You know how to RP well, and you willingly want to tickle/be tickled. Big brownie points there.

3. Something about you is cute. And cuteness= like blood to sharks.

It's good though that you've spiked so much popularity, and are trying hard to change the way everyone RP's. And I like your endeavor, I hope it changes with some people. Or atleast your friendly outward appearance will bring lurkers from their caves.

But I still hold the doubt that everyone whose commented about your big topic is truly there to say they are gonna RP better. But I'll still be watching for developments, so may you succeed and be tickled silly or tickle silly, whatever it is you fancy.

I'm more intrested in chasing flying butterflies a snowy christmas eve than roleplay with someone who promise quality and delivers way bellow promised levels. :fuk2:

So far, I like the rules you made for all roleplayers. ^_^ It's actually really good thing to know. The Character rule I like the most because yes you want to be fair with everyone and only control your own and not someone else.

The Emotion, I guess I may need to work on that to be honest....I kinda had the feeling I was doing something wrong. ^^;

Separation is actually a word I didn't think it was used to call it when you put ** or other things to show what your character is doing. Smart thinking.

And Awareness, for I do my best to wait for my turn, unless I have to go for some reason...but I have to wait...I'll try to do that as long as no one in real life is rushing me.

I wouldn't call them rules, though! It's just basic roleplaying guidelines. I would say roleplaying rules are alot more .. advanced.. I won't come into some exact rules on here - cause that might've scared the entire chat-room away (or, more likely, just ignoring them completely).




When you've "roleplayed correctly" for a while, you'll see the difference (and trust me, you'll love the quality increase in the roleplay)!

IMHO, if someone says they don't wanna follow these guidelines because I'm not their boss - then that's ok.
However, it would be equal to saying you don't wanna me nice to others in public because I said so, and I ain't your boss.

Because.. That's what these guidelines in the end are for;
- So that others will easier understand you when you roleplay with them,
- so that others will feel equal to you when you roleplay with them and thereby and
- that others will feel the general quality is better.

It's a win for those that roleplay with you.
and a win for you, since your popularity will grow! ^^,

My two cents: It's nice to at least see someone put this guide up just to show that there is a level of expected effort that should be universal to everyone who decides they want to RP. Personally speaking, I've got only a handful of sessions under my belt and while I might not be the Wordsworth of the cyber set, I do make an effort to build a scene that both parties can enjoy and I learn from each session. If I'm doing something wrong or if you want something specific to happen and Im not doing it, TELL ME! It's easy stuff. If there's clear communication before and during the session of what needs to be done there is no reason why there should be bad RP sessions unless, as stated numerous times before, the person is just plain awful at it and that's just depressing.

First.. I know im a bit late the the party ( a usually thing for me :: throws watch to the ground :: stupid watch ) but I have no problem swimming against the current. I agree and I do think it can change.

TW I will stand with you on this.. and not just in a PM. Things can only change if you want them to. Its like at a job.. people going around saying this would be better if this... and everyone agreeing yet not doing anything cause the mind set is " it will never change " well not if you think like that.

Sure there will always be the ones that won't and if thats what they like so be it, but that does not mean we can not attempt.

Maybe the ones out there that suck want to be better.. but just don't know what to do to make themselves better. Tell a person.. in a nice way.. that if they did this.. this and this ( whatever you think needs to be better ) it would be a much better time for all.

Two things will happen.. they will listen and make the changes.. or you will hurt their pride and they will get pissy and you dont have to deal with them any more.

Most people though wish to better themselves. People can only do what has been taught to them.. or what they have seen. So for those who agree.. make the effort... Yeah you might have to put some effort in if you want the change, I know I know how dare I... but nothing good comes easy.

For those who do not agree with this.. and like what you have. Awesome! None of us are trying to say you are lower than us.. or that we are better. We all have our likes and dislikes and those who agree with this likes a bit more detail in there RPs.
