MORE THAN LIKELY A FINAL UPDATE!!!:
CS2K's dad was moved out of the ICU and into a room earlier Saturday afternoon. he's feeling better already, but has been rather grumpy due to the fact that he is still being used as a pincushion. CS2K will be returning back here sometime Sunday, and there is a good chance i won't be online period for most of that time...gotta take care of my girl.

people...i cannot stress it enough...THANK YOU! whether it was modern medicine, your positive thoughts, or both...her dad is pretty much in the clear. you people rock...'sall i can say.

All i can say is i'm so sorry i've been pretty absent and didn't see this thread earlier. Reading through all the responses i could hardly breathe until i got to the end. 🙂 But you are in my heart and prayers too as you go through the recovery period! May there be no recurrences or new cancer growths!!

It's great that you have had such wonderful support from everyone here! God be with you, your partner and her dad and all your loved ones!

Love you guys the thoughts and well wishes certainley helped to my way of thinking. He came out of the surgery allright after 12.5 hours and 24 hrs in the ICU. They had to take my dads leg at the hip but they were able to salvage enough muscle and bone tissue that he can wear a prostetic so that is some good news at least. He has a long road ahead of him though but he'll get throuhg it. His sense of humor certainely hasn't suffered any from this ordeal. Again thank you all for your support i appreciate it alot. oh and my love hugs and kisses galore.

If your dad can keep his sense of humor after something like that,he is already half way home CS.Best wishes for a full recovery,and may he enjoy many more years on earth,and the pleasure of knowing his grandchildren.😀

Hiya Cloud!!
I'm sorry that your lady's dad lost his leg at the hip. But as you say, he's keeping a positive attitude with a sense of humour. Hopefully he'll be able to see his way through. I know it will matter that he has friends and family like all of you who can be there with him.
I do wish you warm heart-prayers as he recovers and rehabs and your family takes the journey together.
