Jrubicante's idea has merit. Since there is already a non-tk photos subforum (where people are supposed to be posting foot worship, etc.), it would be consistent to create a "non-tk video clips" subforum as well.

I don't haunt the vidclips area too much but are there really enough non-tk videos in there for them to be much of a nuisance?

As at the moment I can't think of a suitably ... eh... philosophical reply due to the hour and the day and my period, (Monday, 11:37 P.M.), I'm just going to say this -

I have nothing against the fetishists. I have nothing against the Fanatics (zealots) that go all-out for their passion/cause. I have nothing against the lovers of the feet and all that just like I hope they have nothing against me for Not loving the feet (which some of them probably do anyway because people are just that way in general, they're all over the news, seriously, hot coffee at McDonalds, think about why the warning labels are now on the cups..).

I just get a little lonesome when I sign on, look at a whole page of "Perfect Size Sevens" or "So-and-so is Ticklish!" and whatever. Even our F/M thread got turned to feet last I had bothered to check and now it has wandered out of existance in the excess pages of the forum. For the last 4-5 pages of it I was just reading it and staring at it like "How did it get -here- and what can I POSSIBLY say at all along the topic?"

I dunno - Between stress and menses and family maybe I've just had some sort of breakdown and gone utterly insane to even start this argument.

The choice to mix up the forums stucture could be confusing and creating some problems for people who post and make it harder to enjoy the stuff, as Kalamos, HDS and Val pointed out. It is already so, at some degree: if I have 2 clips from the same video, one splitted, one not, should I post one in the VideoClip forum and the other in the Split forum, with the risk that someone just doesn't get one of them because it is in another forum, or put them in the same thread, to be consistent with the actual content?

I think whatever choice is done should take in consideration the final goal of this and other sites of the same nature: to let people enjoy stuff they are interested in, the easier the better.

Moreover, just think about what happened with F/M: I'm "old" enough to remember those times when you couldn't find F/M stuff even if you spent your days searching in every newsgroup, forum, web site on the internet, with the worthy exception of Terri's clips, and they were often impossible to download with a 56k modem, since they were abnormally large in size. I remember they were always the same old 20, 30 pix... Mostly by Chad Pet, and they were great, but there were really just that.
Everytime one posted or requested F/M stuff people complained, saying: This is a female tk site only!, You are a ******! (!?!).
Even in TickleTheater, in other not so far times, we have this kind of problems, do you remember?
Now, even if F/M is certainly not invading this and other tk forums, there is much more stuff, every thread about women tickling men has a lot of replies and comments like: Wow!, It was time!, More F/M stuff!, specially from male posters, something I would have never believed just 4/5 years ago. There are great clips, artwork and stories, and I can't remember the last time someone complained about F/M stuff not being "on topic" in this forum...
I guess one day it could be so with upperbody tk too, but that depends mostly on the behaviour of the members of the tk community.

So, I think the best way to let non feet fans enjoy what they like, would be:
1) Non feet fans just start contributing with non feet stuff, emphasizing it is non feet stuff, upperbody or whatever, to attract people with the same tastes.
You can't blame foot people for not posting what you like 🙂
2) Feet fans make an effort to post just tk stuff in tk related forums, and put not tk stuff, feet or whatever, in the other forums (non tk images, general discussions and eventually a new non tk clip forum, as some people said).
3) CLEARLY LABEL STUFF!!!
4) Mods, compatibly with their time and possibilities, should take care that foot stuff, or off topic stuff in general, doesn't end up in forums devoted to tk stuff. Non foot fans together with foot fans should help mods in this, signaling them about infringing cases.
But that can't be so strict, mind you: if I have a bunch of related pix or clips, some tk some not, I think the ultimate goal of letting people enjoy what they like would be better obtained letting me post all of them in the same thread, CLEARLY STATING that some of the stuff has no tk content, but it is related with the tk one.

As always with TickleTheater, the best and most "comfortable" place I found on internet for tk stuff, goals will be better obtained by autoregulation than with "civil wars".

@ Nessie: I'm not sure how much non-tk stuff is in the video area, but it looks to be around 5% of the total.

@ Acorna: I do remember that thread, with sadness! Now that I can help the other mods with the workload, I'll try to keep an eye out for that kind of thing and split threads when necessary to keep them reasonably on-topic.

@ Tukano: I agree 100% with your thoughts on the matter! We need for people to label their material properly, above all else. We can (and will) be flexible about posts, where a photo set or vid contains mixed content, but it would help everyone if people would describe the material accurately when they post 🙂

Someday we will probably find that a non-tk video subforum is in the best interests of TT. Still, this is the best tickling forum that I have encountered in 4 1/2 years on the Internet 🙂

Yeah you are, and I haven't forgotten. As I was saying, part of the solution from a media perspective rather than chatting is to request more of the same thing or provide it yourself.

If more people wanted upperbody art or something other than feet, I'd surely do it now and again. Theres just not a demand for it.

I've thought that by sharing my regular non tickling art that it would create a base point, from which all other facets and ideas could stem from and others could feel free to use their imaginations.

IE- I draw Naru Narusegawa in a cute outfit or something. One of you guys might come up with a good tickling idea and it needn't not be upperbody related.

If this were the case not only would I be more productive, but people might feel less marginalized and that their opinion (and sticking with it) counts and gets results.

Actually, this is what I'm already doing, so scratch that one.

As you know this ‘Tickle Fetish’ is a preference; ‘ee’ or ‘er’ or both. As such the particular part of the body receiving the stimulation is too a preference as well, by the ‘ee or ‘er’. I’m glad there is a forum to express views and share media, ideas and chats.
The outlet is the same for all, what we see here is the passion of one preference or the other. Like religion one’s fetish my drive someone to extremes and, may I dare say ‘Segregation’ and ‘Hate’…!?!?
We get along here so well out of respect for one another’s passions and therefore we must exercise tolerance, not prejudice.
You make of this forum what you want, <speaks to the masses at large>, and I agree it is top heavy with feet.
