Bella, you rock. I think you voiced what many of us have been wondering for ages.

hey man its just my opinion if you dont like it dont read it and i belive from the other opinions ive read on hear about this subject alot of other guys agree with me, i am a person who stands by his priciples whether you think there wrong or not i dont care that is what is wrong with this world to many people are being swayed into this ultra liberal way of thinking, certain things are not okay in my book or in another famous book, which half the wqorld follows

Its funny (not really)....

when people use the bible , i am assuming that was the famous book you were refering to, to state what others are doing wrong..meanwhile..it clearly states that pointing a finger at others is just as wrong.

Most people are too busy pointing fingers at others to be bothered to look at themselves. May I now state an opinion..THAT IS OFFENSIVE TO ME.

When I open a thread to see a clip I like, I didn't open it to read your insults and disdain. You come off as awfully self-centered and boorish, with way too much time on your hands, if you open a thread or send an email just to be needlessly nasty. Don't you think? 😕
Bella

Yes, you're right - certainly within the confines of your concern. Gay bashing just isn't cool.

That said, you can't really say that no one should ever make negative comments if they are genuinely concerned over the content of a clip. For example, I always say something if the clip portrays nonconsensual abuse or children (either real or cartoons) ... you get the point. I suppose there will always be some people who are "genuinely concerned" over gay content. But as for people who have no other aim than to be nasty ... I join with you in your appeal. 100%

everybody seems to forget with freedom comes responsibility, and you can disagree with that book all you want, the truth is the truth
The truth is the truth, until it changes of course. Then it's still the truth, but different. And whatever the truth happens to be at any given moment, it may or may not be in any particular book.

In a situation where "the truth" is a matter of opinion and faith, humility seems to be in order.

In a situation where "the truth" is a matter of opinion or faith, refraining from calling it "the truth" is a prudent option as well!

There's some rather harsh words flying around here, but one thing in particular causes offense to me.

Toneus79, I resent something you said. Just because I'm American does NOT mean I think 'Will and Grace' is funny. ;-)

Bella, it sounds like you're blaming us for the letters of criticism you receive on a daily basis. Such complaints are all part of doing business. What's that old phrase? You can please some of the people some of the time...etc. If you're lucky, prospective customers will usually tell you what they want and what they don't want. Be glad that they do.

I'd say that about a quarter of the emails are from women (real women, that is 😛 ). About a third, maybe a bit less, of our sales are from women I believe, and they seem to like me in that leather straightjacket a LOT. So do most of our fans, nearly every email comments on it.... 😎
Sounds about right for a fetish porn producer - possibly even a bit higher than most. It's much higher than the female demographics for the mainstream porn market.

Many guys (and a surprising number of women) buy into the idea that women just don't like porn. So in a market where 70-90% of the buyers are male it's not too surprising that some of the men get the impression that it's all about their interests.

BTW, put me down as in favor of the leather straitjacket, but not overwhelmingly so. It's my own issue - I've just got a weakness for rope bondage. I've always wanted to see you thoroughly bound. So if you ever want to do a video with some really nice shibari or western rope-work, please, please give me a call. 😀

People who think the way you're describing are morons, pay them no heed.

Quoted for Truth

People with such angst Bella are typically not the kind of fans you want to cater to. Do I see the concept of never seeing a man's face in a video as a perk? Sometimes, depends on the camera's vantage point. If it's made to seem like it's close to the feet so that it could be "your" perspective, then the whole "First-Person" style of filming only the hands makes sense.

Other than that, truly I see nothing wrong with the male being shown in his videos. About the only thing that ever really bothers me is when the tickler is talking waaaay too much. I think I saw a video where the tickler was talking about his night out before the session while tickling. She was laughing her head off because she was so ticklish, but I'm preety sure it annoyed the crap out of her too. 😛

Actually a dear friend who runs ShibariCon and happened to be visiting from Chicago did the lovely rope work on Tickled Nickie, I *do* want more of that style; we'll talk :bubble:

I suspect I get a bit more interaction with female fans because I'm a little different; I'm vocal here and they're pretty sure I'm an actual woman 😛 , and my models are very, very girl-next-door. Most women who write mention that they like that. And I do wonder if the stats that are out there these days include clip sales; I believe way more women are buying clips than people think, because it's fast and immediate and they feel a bit safer; most of the ladies who contact me are clip customers.

I have to say that the guys that are so deeply against men in the videos are 'very' strong in their opinions, but never actually nasty or critical to me about it ( and I haven't presented a vid with a strong male presence yet.) They're more flirtatious than anything (in some rather interesting ways sometimes :shake: ), just flummoxed that I'd even consider it, which is why I posed the question. One thing that constantly gives me a giggle is how they'll often ask about being the 'ler in a video and suggest I not use men in the same email :wow: . That's comic gold :manicd:

Most excellent. That would be a lot of fun.

Guessing purely, but I'd expect that women are more likely to use clips to buy the porn they're attracted to. However I don't think that clips affect the kind of porn that women find attractive. Overall we see more women buying "specialty" porn of one sort or another: lesbian porn, fetish porn (like yours) or porn made by women for women. Plain old vanilla porn is still overwhelmingly a men's market. So my guess would be that women who might buy any given item on DVD would be more likely to buy it on clip, but the overall percentages probably don't change too much.

One thing that constantly gives me a giggle is how they'll often ask about being the 'ler in a video and suggest I not use men in the same email :wow: . That's comic gold :manicd:
But of course. They would love to be the man in the DVD they're watching. But another man (especially a male 'lee) tends to distract.

Random note: men love the IDEA of lesbian porn, but I've seen men shocked by what real lesbian porn (that is, porn made FOR lesbians) is actually like. Several years ago, Blowfish.com sold a short lesbian SM video, and it carried one of my all-time favorite ad blurbs: "Yes, they're real lesbians. No, you can't send it back just because it scares you."

Well someone in your country obviously does, because it is not a British show.

I like the thought of a big, tough guy being brought down by a few fingers in a certain area. It's fun! ^_^

Let's all have open minds..... *lotus position* OOOOOOOM....
