It's a japanime, but I don't watch it much
I rarely watch anime; I'm not a big fan of Japanese animation. I know anime is high on detail (which is why the animation is usually choppy) and is more adult, but I just can’t get into those complex stories. It’s boring. I’ll admit that there are a few anime films I enjoyed, like the Animatrix, Grave of the Fireflies, Cowboy BeBop, and Milk Chan (Milk Chan’s the shit!), but that’s about it. I use to be into Dragon Ball Z when I was younger, but that got old as I got older. And when I started animating at the Art Institute, I began to notice just how choppy Japanese animation can be. Most anime on TV is pretty choppy, and most people never notice this. Anime shows on TV don’t have a huge budget like the feature films do (then again neither does American.) The large budget films from Japan are either close to, or equal to, Disney’s animation.

I prefer American, Canadian, and British animation. America's animation has more humor and is less choppy (due to the simplified character designs) than Japanese animation. And Canadian is more independent and experimental; very artsy animation. English animation also seems to be more experimental as well, although I’ve seen some traditional animation come from England too. Monty Python’s used paper cut-out puppet animation (which is how South Park was done before it switched over to computer animation.) I think Danger Mouse and Count Duckula, (traditional 2D animation) came from England. And then a lot of the English animation I’ve seen used clay.

Naruto is great! Just watched up until the latest episode and the movie recently 😀 .

😀 Yay, add Kimiko to the growing number of Naruto fans here.

I don't think I've posted to this thread before, (I tend to lurk), but I had to cast another ballot for Naruto.
I like Naruto - "Believe it!"

Is Naruto on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim, or am I completely out of the loop here............ more so. I know its anime, but what is the story premise.

Think Dragon ball Z, but without the crapness 😛 .
That's a good concise description. Here's my long winded one.

Naruto is an anime on Adult Swim, but I think they are messing with the schedule because this is "Miyazaki Month", (Spirited Away, etc).

Basically, Naruto, the main character, wants the respect of his village and is in training to be a ninja, and has adventures both in training, and in actual missions. These ninja sometimes do what amounts to magic, via the power of their inner "chakra". It has a cool feel to it kinda like Samuri Shamploo, or Cowboy Bebop, but with younger characters, mostly in a school-like setting.
Their last nearly impossible written test was actually to see if they could cheat on a exam without getting caught, using ninja methods. (That's got to appeal to a lot of people.)
There's a lot of side stories, Naruto has a fox demon locked for safe keeping inside him from birth, various potential romantic interests, etc.

Oh.. That show. I'm gonna' bite my tongue on this particular topic now. I've already given you about half of my true opinion concerning Japanese animation. LoL

LOL I watched Sailor Moon when I was a kid, and then YuGiOh when it was new. Thaaaat's about it. lol Never got to sophisticated with anime...*blushes*

I watched Howl's Moving Castle last night. Hayoa Miyazaki is awesome. Everyone should watch Porco Rosso too.

*growls and does jumping jacks on the romantic part of his soul*

Well I decided to post this here cuz it doesn't have to do with anything 'cept maybe the recurring banter b/t Socks an' I but ironically, it's the only thread he didn't do this in;

Socks, is it just me, or (here excluded) Did you only respond to stuff I said when you got back? :Weird: Um, what did you do, put my username in the search box???? *not exactly sure how to feel about that*

Nah, I just responded to a bunch of stuff. You just haven't found all my responses. I mainly check my favorite threads then see if there's anything new that gets my attention. I don't single anyone out (Unless it's in the Tickle Fight thread of course).

Heh top ten signs you have no life----

You're sitting on your computer pressing "refresh" over and over to see if anybody else has posted 😛
