Randomness

The zombies aren't the monsters. The humans are.

Yeah. In those great Romero zombie flicks of yore ("Night/Dawn/Day of_"), it's almost invariably other humans that screw things up for the central characters.

I have to admit: I am one of those goobers who could probably watch well-done encounter-after-encounter with zombies for 10 seasons before I'd get completely bored. Believe me, I have sat through some shitty zombie movies in my day. Thus far, I am enjoying the way they're handling the show.

On the other hand, I get where Rox is coming from, too. I would not be against SOME glimmer of hope for the humans at the grisly end of things (perhaps many seasons away from now). Maybe it's the eternal optimist in me... :2:

Sorry. This wasn't terribly random.

Hells yes! I'm a think'n Merle's gonna die.

I think at some point he's gonna have to. Now that him and Daryl are back together, that's the most intriguing story dynamic going (for me). Assuming they aren't outright killed off early in the second half of the season. Which I seriously doubt will happen with Daryl. But, that's one of the things I like best about the show: You never know who might get killed-off amongst the core group.

Poor Carol. Seeing her go would almost be mercy killing at this point. It'd be cool if she turned into some ultra-badass later on. i mean, she's already tough and been through ALOT...

What I liked about the Romero zombie flicks wasn't the sheer hopeless and desperate situation or even the utter horror of it. It was the fact that they portrayed the zombies AS WHAT A ZOMBIE SHOULD BE! You do NOT GET FASTER when you undergo a state of RIGOR MORTIS! I HATE these FAST ZOMBIE flicks.

Have you seen the trailer for "World War Z"? I was highly jazzed for a movie or miniseries of that after listening to the six-CD audio book version of the novel...until I saw an early promo for the 2013 movie. It's the sprinter zombies at their worst from what I can tell. 😱

Ugh. Yes. Don't remind me. No shambling corpses. No decaying bodies. Not even a consumption of flesh by the so called "zombies". Just millions of fast moving human "rats". I feel this is a crime against zombie movies in general.

I'm happy to see Tyreese finally made it into the series. I'm very interested in seeing what they do with him.

I recently started reading the comic books the series is based off of and I just finished issue 36. All I have to say is things play out very differently, so the comic won't spoil the show and vice-verse. I highly recommend giving this read through; I actually really like Andrea in the comic unlike her counter part in the show.

Anyways, back to mid-season finally! I agree, I'm very interested in seeing what happens with Daryl and Merle. If Daryl doesn't make it, I think that might put Carol over the edge. Guess we'll have to wait until February to find out...

I once had a nightmare that rats and mice were responsible for spreading the zombie plague. I like to think that the "fast zombies" were bitten by zombie Speedy Gonzales.

I originally figured Andrea was sort of trojan-horsing around with the Gov. Now? Not so sure. I do wonder, though: That scene with her and Michonne facing off with the gun/sword while the Governor was rolling around in the background crying about his ruptured eyeball - Do you suppose he will hold it against Andrea that she didn't try to kill Michonne right then and there? He seems to prize loyalty over pretty much everything.

Yeah, it feels alot more like a "rage virus' sort of scenario than my beloved undead shamblers. Not at all how i imagined things listening to the audio book.

Plus, random image!

I don't know. I think she might be able to piece together that the "terrorists" were Rick and his crew thanks to Daryl being captured. That might come into play on where her loyalties lye. At least I hope so; that would make her character somewhat redeemable in my eyes. Then again, she might harbor feelings of resentment for being left behind. Plus there's also her feelings for the governor to consider, no matter how fucked up in the head he is.

I could see it go either way.

Well, if she recognizes that the Gov is fucked in the head and STILL sides with him, then phooey on her.
Hopefully, she'll be touched by the Ever-Present Spirit of Dale, and side with the people she's been through a whole bunch of shit with.
Like you said through, she might see the town and the Gov as stable, safer bets to hedge her fortunes on.

So, what are your chances of seeing a white Christmas, Theater? I'm in Florida, and short of driving out to our white sandy beaches, mine are nil.

I feel ya Rick Tibbler I also live in Florida so the chances of a White Christmas are basically none XD

I live in the Pacific North Wet. We have two seasons around here: Summer and Rain. Sometimes if it gets cold enough during the winter, there's a chance for snow, but it's not very likely. I'm more worried about ice and freezing rain than anything else.
