I think it works because she is an android. I don't think it would work as well if she were actually human. Also, I think what makes her humerous is her tone of voice. So even ordinary things she would say are funny most of the time not just because of what she says, its how she says it.

I also like how she plays the piano really fast in the afternoon to wake Roger up when he's overslept. Then theres that one episode where she definitely displays some personality by playing the blues and bobbing her head to it. And then Roger tells her to stop because its weirding him out or something. LOL

Theres that allure of Dorothy. You don't know if she knows she's being funny or if she's just doing things that just so happen to be funny. Sometimes you think its intentional, but others you're just not sure.

EDIT:But the tickling picture(s) are going to be difficult if I want to keep in mind she's an android. Anyone could just draw her and have her laughing it up like she's a human, so the key is in not overdoing it and giving her a suitable expression and taking her personality into consideration. You know how I am for details, so its more difficult than it seems. But if done right, it would be worth the effort.

hmm ya, but the sensory chip upgrade scenario would make her laugh, am i right? or she could ask her captors "Is this the point where i should start laughing?" it seems like something she would say. either way i really don't mind.

i was thinking about trying my hand at drawing tickling pics. i draw pretty bad, but people encouraged me to do so, and i will. my first one will be my cameo.

Yes, I could draw whats realistic, and that would be her being tickled just like you want it, but her not laughing or maybe just twitching. That makes for a boring picture for you guys, and the last thing I want to do is bore people like that. Its difficult to please when these pictures are being viewed by tickling fetishists. They want the best case scenario all the time, and thats not realistic.

Characters like this aren't fit to be tickled unfortunately. The best one can do is try to make it work, but I also don't want to force it or contrive it, as theres no enjoyment in that for me either.

Ultimately theres that middle ground where both parties get what they want. I get my realism and enjoyment of honoring the character by not making too unrealistic situations for them, and you guys get the tickling. Dorothy is definitely a grey area when it comes to this topic, and its definitely a rare case of a impractical character. Again, if she was a human with a more defined and refined personality it wouldn't be a problem as I'd know what to do.

Drawing her like this requires I know how she thinks, which I don't. And thats something that both irritates me and makes her more appealing at the same time. 🙂

hehe, well i really don't mind making her seem unreal, i'd just really love to see a pic of her laughing as she's getting her soles feathered.

but if you really wan't to make her more realistic, just draw a pic of her exposing her soles. though i prefer the former.

Well, thats usually the way I do things. When I draw characters, I usually want to have one regular picture, like a pose or something, one barefoot picture, and one tickle picture.

At least, thats ideally how I'd want it but that would take too long for every character I've ever drawn or want to. When I can do it, I do. Time passes by really quick when you're drawing. The main issue is almost always time.
