real player help please!

Everytime I attempt to view a vidclip, I get a message from realplayer that its attempting to locate additional software needed. Then it comes back as unavailable. Does anyone know what to do? Thanks!!

Just try upgrading it. Go to www.realplayer.com and upgrade/install the latest free version.

This happens to me too but not all the time, only with some of the RP clips. This is what makes it confusing. I have consistantly upgraded RP and still, some of the time I get that same message.

IF I figure it out, I will let you know and visa versa.

Realplayer can be a problem at times. I personally switched to Media Player Classic some time ago. It's basically an old version of Realplayer, back when Realplayer had no extras, like the browser and message center, but with updated codecs. Try playing your files with it. What works for me is saving the clip first, then double clicking on the saved file. Bingo, you're in business now.

That's a good tip, because many people only click the link and streaming the clip, but that not always work fine, so ever download each clip, before to play it.
