How did you get an account, if I may ask, if you did not sign up?

Myriads

is there a way to delete a profile????????????

No. It is forum policy to not delete accounts. Simply ignore it. It will not trouble you.

There are a lot of reasons, but the big one is time. We get several requests like this every month, and to do it properly, meaning follow their posts around and see how actually deleting their account is going to impact the threads they've participated in, takes more time than just pushing a button to kill an account.

Are we going to end up deleting dozens of threads where people have posted things they care about, or thoughts that they spent a lot of time formulating? Are we going to mess up the post count of someone who cares about their post count, by deleting dozens or hundreds of not-that-important, but nonetheless prevalent threads?

It's just not worth all that effort and thought, when at the end of the day, all you have to do is not come here anymore.

Nobody really needs their account killed, since the forum doesn't come looking for you. They're making a gesture, to us when they're mad at the forum, or to themselves when they've decided to make some kind of change in their life. And since that gesture costs them nothing, and me a ton of time, the answer is no, we don't do that.

But the good news is that we're never going to come to your house, put a gun to your head, and insist that you log on.

I think the reason someone would want a profile deleted is because some have personal info ..like pictures, email addys and such that once they leave they dont want others having access to it....especially if as the first post stated they didnt create it....so I see a real logical reason to delete a post at a request whether its here...facebook, collarme.com or facebook. I made the same request about a yr ago and someone did the same thing...made an account up using my pics....and you did nothing to resolve it...other than tell me to ignore it. Shouldnt even a forum provide some sort of safety or security for its member?

You can remove your own stuff from your profile, pics and such, you don't need us to do that. Deleting an account is not that. Nor is it deleting a post, which we also don't do, but you can remove your own content from any post you made without needing the post deleted.

Again, the stuff that you can't do for yourself here has nothing to do with any practical issue and everything to do with making a point, which I'm just not interested in jumping through hoops to indulge.

In the rare case when someone has some kind of issue, like they signed up with a name that they then went on to use elsewhere and they want to cover their tracks, we indulge them without any problems at all.

But until someone can explain to me why they really need the account deleted, the answer will continue to be no.

Could you do that for me? Cause I don't want it to come back to me later on in life, and want to cut all ties please! ^_^ I'm not the same person I was when I signed up years ago.

If you want to cut all ties, stop logging in. What other ties do you have here, than the fact that you keep coming?

LOL! Priceless. Well put, Jeff.

Just stop logging in. If you can't control the urge to log in, change your password to something random like "A7F56RH8hj56", log out, and then throw it away.

A7F56RH8hj56--- hey----------------that's MY password!!!
How did you get that?????
I'm so annoyed that i am going to ask for it to be changed!! lol

now what? I just erased what wrote does this affect your poor little site? please!!! lol... especially when it shows up when you reply to someone... poor excuses... anyone and I'm sure everyone in here has been on dating sites.. you can delete your account anytime... so asking which sites? if you people own this site you know darn well it can be done... Myriads thanks for your response. you seem to be sensible at least..

This site should allow anyone to delete their account at any time. It is NOT time consuming for the owner to delete an account. He wants to keep you here cause it makes his site look good to have more people interested in tickling. The choice should be yours Chrisheaven. Whether its facebook twitter or any site for that matter. Maybe he loses money every time some one deletes an account. It all just sounds very fishy to me. As i requested the same yesterday. Makes ya wonder... Who cares what one posted 2 days or 2 years ago. It wont affect the forum posting. Excuses... wow im very shocked at this behavior.

Beauty... if you read My post, it affects not onlythe users account but any thread they have added too even if it was started by someone else. So to be fai rthey are not deleted. Plus if you knew anything about databases.... the more you remove from a large data base the more unstable it becomes and could also crash the site... just dont log in.

If you don't want to be here, it's simple sweetheart. STOP LOGGING IN. We don't need bitter folks around here anyways 😉

It's not aboit bitterness "Sweetheart". Lol..please. its about ones right to remove their account. Not one single site has ever stopped one from removing tjeir account. This is a First.. so i know its bs. If a person has an account with any site they will check. So its pointless to tell them not to.. what youre suggesting makes no sense. How people like you are allowd to do this is beyond me. But then again sweetheart, their are a lot of selfish people out there. Must be making lots if money. God forbid if you lost any lol. Toodles...

The first two places I checked, gamespot.com and avclub.com, did not have an option for me to cancel my account. I just checked youtube, and it doesn't either. What sites are you talking about, specifically, where it's possible to do that?

I don't know if this applies, but I used to post quite regularly on the message boards of IGN, and my account seems to have been wiped from the system (username and password not recognised), but I don't recall seeing any buttons with 'Cancel account' or 'Close account' on them. Maybe if you don't log into certain sites for a while you become invisible and then you cease to exist?

Mostly, I would guess, it is the folks that open sock-puppet accounts so they can troll or trawl for jollies, that would like nothing better than to erase the telltale patterns in how they post, type, and present themselves. All to often it is very easy to spot markers that I.D. the same buffoon (or baboon, for that matter) and they know this. For example, the one's that lift women's photos off of social media and post them here, claiming to be that woman. It behooves them to want to foil their trail.

On the other hand, if a regular member has branded too much personal information on the site and would like to close that chapter in their life and fears future discovery; I would assume that if the user-name is too close to home (like the user's real name) that can be changed by admin. The user's personal posts can be deleted by the user, I believe as well. As far as the temptation to log back in, that's a matter of self control; and lacking that, changing ones sign in password to something unmemorable is the best idea yet.

The TMF has reason to be proud of its voluntary membership; and with those numbers growing everyday; I see little effect or need for them to hang on to accounts simply for the purpose of bolstering boasting claims - that in itself is ludicrous at best.

I don't understand how some people cannot grasp the concept of NOT logging in anymore haha. It's sooo simple and yet they keep coming back. Kinda ridiculous =P

If there is a privacy need we'll happily provide an account name change. No issues there.

It's pretty simple. Punching holes in the database make it sicker faster. Which in turn lead to crashes, downtime and other stuff that is no fun for anyone. So we don't do it. It makes life better for our tech guy, and less annoyance.

Killing an account also takes out every thread started by said account, which in some cases can mean the deletion of lots of posts made by others, and we feel it's unfair to other posters to loose their efforts simply because someone wanted to erase themselves.

C.A.B.'s point about preserving sock-puppet patterns is not a direct reason, but a benefit of our policy. And it proves useful when IP matching new problems to old ones, that would be lost if we removed accounts. Our Database is also one of tools to protect the forum, and anything that harms it is a bad in my eyes.

And not a reason, but something to ponder. Google indexes the forum almost every day. If you know how to search indexes in googles database that are not the current one, you can always see what was here even if it's been deleted. It's trapped in Googles amber forever.

You can't erase your online past. It's forever.

Own it.

Actually Cabbie..I'm not ashamed at all of being into tickling as I still am. I actually found a completly different site this mediocre one. I have lost interest in this forum for the some reason that it is flipping boring. no exciting posts. As I have stated clearly in the past. I get numerous stupid private messages from men withno brains on this site. there are idiots in here who have signed themselves up looking for sex n not interested in tickling. And you all wonder I wanna leave. tberes always more to it then some of the stupid responses I've received for wanting my account deleted. I have come across men posing as women and women posing as men. this is like a porn site and that's why I want out. Good luck to you all. cause the creeps are all slowly starting to roll in. Ill always remember how fun the posts used to be years ago. Happy tickling all. And good riddance. lol..if the truth hurts..too bad.. I'm outta here! Having much more fun on the new site I discovered!!

Thank you for the feedback on your reasons for leaving. Always appreciated.

I hope you find the new site more enjoyable. Whichever it may be.
