Do they talk funny down in Laurencekirk like the do up in Aberdeen and Inverness? "Caut oot tha baug" and all that. I used to work on a boat over on the east coast, out of Helmsdale, which is... like, up near Thurso somewhere and thus nowhere near Laurencekirk, but that accent and the fact east coasters seem to meld 50 syllables into a single grunt used to amuse me.
Grunt, eh. Nice. I lived around farmers, not fishermen. That's what the real hick farmer types would talk like around where I lived which was only 20 or so miles south of Aberdeen.
You wouldn't be caught dead where?
