Ice was a popular theme in the old school of tickle videos and photosets. Somewhere there must have been a perceived demand for it, I guess. Probably the thinking was that since it was a non-injuring and non-painful means of torture, it fell into the same category as tickling, and would therefore appeal to the same audience. Live and learn.
