Self Tickling Machine!

I always wondered if it was possible to make one with those K'NEX toys...I mean, if you can build a merry-go-round or rollercoaster with it, then who knows..a tickling machine (especially since the sets now have small motors in some...don't they?) might be possible...that'd be fun to let the machine get one area of the body while the ler gets the lee somewhere else.

Lazarus and I actually assembled a toy just like that some time back (see image). It was QUITE effective. Use duct tape for added security. I highly recommend it. 😀

I'm trying to figure out how to have mt feet tickled by a machine that will not get stuck when resisitance is applied.
In other words, I want a machine that moves up & down SLOWLY that will not stop when pressure is used.
Drills & other tools are too fast. I want something SLOW moving that I do not need to hold in my hands.
I was thinking of a metronome type, but I think that it may be too weak. If I attach a feather to it, & turn it sideways, it may not work because once it touches anything, the pendulum would stop.

LOL I have that same screwdriver. So did you just stick the feather in there and tape it?

Yep...taped it right onto the bit and the bit holder. Works like a dream!

On second thought . . .

After some thought, I realized that the metronome thing probably will not work well. If I put the metronome on its side then the weight of the pendulum would not move up & down due to gravity.
But I would need something LIKE that. A machine run on electricity.
Something I can place at my feet (or anyone else's) & let the machine do its job.
Any suggestions what kind of a machine I can use that moves things up & down slowly?

A sewing machine? A slow fan? You can translate rotational motion to up and down motion by using a string and pulley. Would work for the metronome as well.

I am getting lots of elaborate ideas but they are probably too complicated 🙂 Perhaps there should be a rube goldberg tickling machine contest.
