I think the problem is that not enough people knew about the Poll.

Maybe if it was mentioned in some of the other parts of the forum then it might of been swayed the other day.

Correct me if i'm wrong but im pretty sure there is more than 20 people in the forum!

What, that they'd all have voted "no" you mean?

They weren't actually ignoring it to be honest. Myriads posted in the other thread that Mantis started, if only to tell me and Drew70 to keep it civillised. They may not have put anything public, but they're very aware of it's existence.

I'm friends with a lot of the mods, cordial with most of the rest and don't even know two of them to speak to. Despite many of them liking me and perhaps even respecting me, I doubt very much if they'd have voted for me. As Drew even said, my declared keeness to "serve" might possibly have been something that caused a few eyebrows to arch. I disagreed with Drew's assessment of my motivations and on the subject of trolls too, but he was almost certainly right in what he said elsewise.

I think though that the subject is deader than George W. Bush's brain. Two moddings occured while the discussion was in top gear and to my knowledge, I wasn't remotely close to even being in the picture. Both new mods were people who'd publicly said they weren't interested in the job in the past. Myr and Jeff still went back to convince them otherwise though, without asking anyone else. Having said that, if Myriads had asked me which two people I would have chosen as new mods, Ven and Ann would have been the first two people I would have suggested; closely followed by QB or Lite.

It'll be months before any new mods are needed again. Even then it will only happen if one or more of the current mods resigns. When it comes up for discussion, I still doubt if anyone will suggest me.
