I think my main gripe on here isn't typos but when Mods/Admin either delete or move one of your posts without the courtesy of letting you know why. Doesn't take much to send a PM to let you know does it really and it could possibly help you not make whatever mistake they deem you to have made again.

Thats very true. Thank you for pointing that out. A great deal of mods everywhere simply assume you will be aware of whats happening or figure it out on your own. But then they're running the risk that you won't, which is why a brief PM explaining what happened and why it was sent is a courtesy (this also gives the mod a chance to give further directions and advice). They could just let you figure it out on your own, and most people do instantaniously if they're paying attention, but I think this has more to do with an act of proper authoritive principle than an expectation to know whats going on and why.

And its more professional and kind on their part, and, as you said, lets the person understand their error so that it doesn't happen again.

Aside from that, its just good communicating on their part, which is part of the job. Its not always going to be efficient or practical to send a PM to everyone for any little change, but if its something like a moved thread, a deleted thread, or a closed thread...or, alternatively, an editted or deleted post that was of enough significance that it warranted being editted or deleted, then a PM is more appropriate, perhaps for even lesser occurances as well when necessary.

I don't personally have this problem, but alot of others do, and if they're new to this site, they may need to be given the heads up in some instances.

Sorry bout that, TM! Will make more of an effort to communicate when I make changes. ^_^
What is irritating is sometimes people have their PMs turned off so I CANT message them to let them know they've broken a rule or whatnot. >.<

We routinely move threads which were posted in the wrong forum (such as personals ads in Tickling Discussions or video requests in the VidClip Corner), but the reason is usually obvious. I try to send a PM in cases of thread deletion, but as Ness points out, many people have PMs turned off or have fewer than 10 posts and can't receive PM's.

In practice, threads are deleted only if they contain material or requests from the no-post producers list, underage content, spam (including identical posts made to several subforums), trading, or split clips that greatly exceed the 20 MB size limit.

My reasoning behind stating that I would like to not have it done, is because occasionally I purposely leave a typo... like this

YAY FOR ME 3 DAY WEEKEND!!!!!!111ONE!

like that.

If I undertsand it's an intentional typo I wouldnt fix it. Typing "one" for a 1 is difficult to do accidentally. You have to be a REALLY bad typist.

People should check other forums, and see what being a rude moderator is all about.

Ah, by the way...

Ignorance is never a bliss, we are all expected to know the rules.
Ladies, gentlemen, please stop telling our mods how to behave, how to be more professional or how to pet your kinks the right way.

They aren't paid. They are quite tolerant of extreme behaviour, and so far they have banned only *two* users, for blatant disregard of rules and disrepect toward other users.

Please have a look over TMF, and see what being terse is all about.
Mods are nobody's nurses.
