Wow I didn't think this thread would last so long and get the 'higher ups' posting...yay for me lol. To answer people's questions, yeah the new MK is worth it. It's basically like, if you took Deadly Alliance, souped it up, and switched around some of the characters. The play style is still the same, except for a few things: There are now combo breakers, and as to not abuse that, you only get 3 a round. It's terrible easy to pull off, that's why....now there's stage fatalities. They now have 'self-fatalities' called 'Hara-Kiri'. Basically when your guy is in "FINISH HIM!" you do a certain button input like a fatality, and your own guy suicides. Pretty cool. They brought back some old characters, brought one back from the dead, added some new, and Ed Boon, the creator, is back to his 'old tricks'. If anyone remembers the older ones, all the secret stuff from MK1 used to be super-hard to find, like fighting Reptile. Basically, you only start out with 12 characters, but there are 12 spots in the roster that are blacked out. Those are the only unlockables anybody knows about so far....Supposedly, Ed Boon said that there are 'nearly unlimited unlockables'....so we'll see. But so far, I think this game is worth it.
