What do you guys think? Can anyone give me tips and point me in the right direction for me to do the proper research. I dont have a particular design yet, but I was thinking something music related.

And does anyone know if they have silver ink cuz I want it to really look like a piece of jewelry.

I prefer my feet to be unadorned down to the nails... but it wouldn't be a dealbreaker. I like anklets, though... made from softer material you can thread through toes.
Do what you will, at any rate. 🙂

I say go for it, I am one of the guys who find anklets or ankle tats very sexy.

here is a random suggestion, as i get the hint you are a musically enlightened person, how about a music staff and on it your favorite riff or excerpt from a famous piece? I dont think it can be too long though, unless you would consider the tatoo coiling around like spiral ribbon:laughing:

but plz let us know how it goes, I would love to see the finished product

Thanks Brad and Otaku for ur input! I appreciate it really!

Otaku, I would get it going around my entire leg, but I dont have a fav excerpt at all and I wouldnt want one tated on my ankle because they change all the time. And I would want it more to look like jewelry than anything else. Like an anklet w/ music notes on it or something.

I like the way the alto/C-clef is shaped. You could rotate it 90 degrees clockwise so that it hangs off the anklet... you could have several of that same symbol, or have a treble and bass clef too.

All I can say is atleast make sure not to get it right on the bone of your ankle, because it hurts like hell. Atleast, it did for me. I dunno though, I could just be a push over, lol. In any case, why don't you actually go to the parlor you are interested in, and talk it over with the artist? They usually make good suggestions for it, and can also tell you what all they can and can't do for the ink, and I'm sure they have silver ink, but better ask just to make sure. Well, there's my two cents for ya, lol.

Just don't get a "Tramp Stamp" (any tattoo placed just above the butt crack). Nothing says "I'm such an easy ***** that I've given you something to look at while you're having your way with me from behind" than one of those. Very trashy.

I'm with Otaku here. I think it'd be freaking awesome if you had a couple bars of a song tattooed around your ankel, but it sounds like picking one song would be a bit of trouble.

Could also go with a charm bracelet idea or sometype knotwork as the band with music notes dangling off of it. I know a guy who has a celtic knotwork band around his bicep with a feather off of that. Could research a culture that speaks to you, do a band in black (reminescent of leather) and have the notes hanging off in silver. The only real rule I beleive in when it comes to tatoos is make sure the imagery speaks to you and reflects who you are as a person.

wow that's a really good Idea BMJ!! wow! I'll put that into consideration when designing it.
