Soft, sensuous Tickling vs. Hard, torturous Tickling?

Here's a few question that has always been on my mind:

What is more pleasing and satisfying to the needs of the Tickler--soft and sensuous or hard amd torturous Tickling? How about the Ticklee (if you are in this forum)?

Does the non-Ticklphile community out there think of Tickling as 'torture' or 'pleasure'?

Good question...

I'm sure it's different for everyone, Ciabatta. I personally love gentle, erotic, soft, sensual, carress tickling. And even soft tickling can be torturous to the very ticklish. Tickling is built directly into my sexuality. If I'm attracted to a girl, my INSTINCT is to tickle her!

It depends on the area you tickle sometimes, but personally, I prefer soft and sensuous. Oh and quick relentless tickling too (which is different from hard, "massage-like" tickling).

As for the pleasure/pain theory, there's a thin line for that, depending on how ticklish non-ticklephiles are. But I'm not sure, personally.

I enjoy both

I find the hard tickling playful and the soft tickling more sensual. I am just as ticklish with both. however, the hard tickling seems to start with a surprise attack (with me anyway) which gets a different response than the soft touch. The hard produces screams and hysterical laughter. The Soft gets more of a giggling response which can lead to hysterical laughter if the tickling doesn't let up. ( I speak from experience here)

Soft slow tickling for the thin-skinned areas such as inbetween the toes, bellybutton, bottoms of the toes, and other sensitive areas. Hard aggessive tickling for the thicker skinned areas such as the ribs, waist, stomach, armpits, thighs and other places. Light and heavy tickling can both be used on the soles.

The answer for me is both, but not all. Make sense? Didn't think so...

I LOVE relentless torturous tickling. But tickling too firm or rough simply hurts me. It does not tickle. But a skilled ler can turn even the softest touch into full fledged torture. It's the intensity, not pressure, that matters for me.

As a ler, both are useful. You can keep the lee off center by alternating at random. The lee's reaction to each shift is interesting and as much fun to watch as it is to cause. LOL!!

As a lee, the shifts back and forth are both pleasing and maddening. Perhaps one definition of insanity is struggling to escape, then coming back for more! I never can figure out why the sleeves on this jacket are so long! LOL!!

As for torturous, both can be and often are. 🙂

I think that it definitely varies from person to person. However myself I always enjoy tickling both ways in the same instance. As the 'lee I prefer the light tickles most of the time, with some not-too-hard aggressive tickles in between for short periods. I can be reduced to hysteria with the lightest touches though, and that is the most pleasurable way to be driven mad that I know of lol.

what i like.

i prefer soft, and sensuous tickling, both as the ler, and as the lee.

a good reason to start with soft, and sensuous is that you have some where to escalate, if the lee becomes de-sensitised.

I agree. I would say hard agrresive squeezing of ticklish hips is alot worse than softly squeezing ticklish hips.

Hmmm. I'm not a lee, but I tend to find that it's good to start off softly, then go to hard, torturous tickling. If you plan to tickle for about 5 hours straight, then you can alternate between the two a few dozen times. (It's a good idea anyway, because hard tickling gives the ler tendonitis or "tickler's cramp" if done for only an hour straight. I know! lol)
